Just small note - "Cyperlink Video / SP Decoder (PDVD 10)" have disabled DxVA by default.

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

...but i am wondering that this sync issue can not be fixed for a long time. And because i read in many threads this occurs only by configured FFdshow to use SPDIF passthrough, right ?

Perhaps FFdshow works quit good for Live TV if this fixed.:D

Best Regards
Harald

Desync happend only in MePo LiveTV, there is no such problem in GB-PVR/nPVR.

My HTPC is GB-PVR based and MPEG-2 LiveTV working great for me using FFDshow with Audio/Video decoder in use.

AW: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

found another strange problem in my win7 64bit system.
liveTV SD is working fine with PDVD10 ... i thought
now i tried to start a recording and watch another program on the second tv card in SD.
i have some artifacts in the picture.
any ideas?

1st card - floppyDTV (newest driver - 5.7 BDA)
2nd card - technotrend S2 1600 (newest i found - 5.0.1.8)
grafic - ati4200 onboard (ccc 10.10)

perhaps there is a driverproblem in the whole 64bit system.
try tomorrow the win7 drivers from the asrock homepage (M3A785GMH/128)
or is there any need for workaround, fix, trick on win7 (like on WHS there are many things to do to use mepo)
till now i only installed win7, done all updates, drivers like written before (+amd southbridge) and installed mepo 1.1.1 (+fanarthandler2.2.1.0, moving pictures 1.0.8, MP Series 2.5.4, black glass nova 1.4.0.0)

----edit----
tried the w7 64bit driver on asrock homepage...no difference :(

if you read on the digitaleverywhere website where the floppyDTV drivers are located ...it says there is an issue with having 2 such cards...or have multiple tuners of different types

take another look specifically for the Win 7 X64 driver issue there

i know it relates to the fireDTV ..not sure but possibly also the floppyDTV

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Hello and thanks for a great DirectShow package.

I'm having some problems with DXVA on some HD movies. DXVA won't work in MP on some .mkv files and all BluRay movies. When I open the file in GraphStudio everything seems to be OK, but my CPU runs up to 90% when I play those movies in MP.

If I try to play those movies in MPC-HC DXVA is working and CPU load is approximately 10%.

I've also got Cyberlink PowerDVD 10 installed on my HTPC.

I hope you could help me with this problem.

    Best Regards

    Thank you very much!
for the first time that I use MP over many years the issues with stuttering TV (digital and H.264) have been reduced to a minimum. No Pixels any more and no stuttering. I bought a new ATI- passiv Grafic Card (4350) because my Asus was also not working properly. With the inbuild Windows 7 codec the TV was still not working ok, but with Pover DVD 10 codec it runs smooth like a 8-Cylinder engine. All of a sudden also menu-switching is much faster. Now this for me is a real breakthrough and I will take the time to explain MP to my wife again :).
    Thanks again

All i can say - if it is working in Graphstudio, SAF is working as it should.

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

    Hi,
If SAF is installed and PDVD is selected in MP for video AND audio (Video tab) it seems that ffdshow settings for audio are still valid regarding e.g. passthrough.
    Is this true?

So, if I disable passthrough (for DTS) a video with DTS plays with sound if I enable it it won't play.
With SAF 4.0 beta8 (before ffdshow was introduced) it played audio with DTS with passthrough enabled in MP configuration for the corresponding codec (MPA codec or PDVD codec for audio).
Now I'm wondering if video codecs (in video tab) selected in MP are taken. In Graphstudio it always shows ffdshow Video codec. Does MP overrule the video codec with the selection in MP?

    regards
    bart
