Moved this thread out of the MediaPortal Support area since this thread is not asking for support about a MediaPortal feature.

Better fits into the HTPC Hardware/Software section. :)

Am I missing something, or has the mixer option vanished in FFDShow in the latest SAF 5.00??

I'm trying to figure out how best to configure Windows 7 and FFDShow audio settings for my Onkyo amp, fed by a GTX460 over HDMI..

    Cheers..

    Hi,
I just connected with graphstudio when playing files in MP.
Eventhough I have selected PDVD for all codecs, it shows ffdshow. Now I understand why it makes a difference when I change settings in ffdshow audio.
However, I think this should not be that way. Does anyone know what I could do that MP takes the codecs selected?
I want to use SAF as it makes play all my files, but want to use othr codecs for video than ffdshow.

Mixer is only available if passthrough is disabled durning SAF setup.

Depends on how you look at it. The thread was in the codec section and this is a kind of codec package. (Still is I see)
Besides that, mediaportal itself relies very much on codecs. No good (or incorrect) codecs available for MP means MP is no good. (=simplistic)

These days with the low powered cpu's and gpu's (DXVA1/2,CUDA,Intel,...), good support on the codec side is the only way to get MP to work well. :)

    Hi there,

I tried your new SVN for my MOV issue - thanks for trying to help so quickly :D

    Mixed results:

On my main htpc I get no audio for the MOV files. On this machine I am running passthru to spdif (but I have tried turning off all pass thrus in ffdshow). I can see you have switched to using lavf dshow splitter (previous SVN used MPC). I have attached screen grabs of graphstudio showing the graph, and the various details of each part.

From what I can see/tell lavf is not actually outputing any audio (0 avgbytespersec)?

I did try this on my other client - but this semed to work ok the audio seemed to play fine (albeit video was a bit choppy - I need to invest that further - don't think its related to this audio issue, I think the client has issues with HD MOV files).

    Thanks,

    J. :D
