Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Hoborg,do you have any idea why everything plays fine through MPC-HD and Graph Studio but in MP i cannot bitstream HD Audio Formats?

And also in MP I can't play files with .aac files

P.S.: My System is an I3 530 with integrated graphics through HDMI in a Pioneer VSX-LX70 AV Receiver

Can you send me small *.aac sample?

If your multimedia works in Graphstudio, then SAF (DirectShow) working as it should. Rest is on player side.

Hi.
I am just doing some test with new SAF and:
- the "wrog speed" MOV samples i have now playing just fine
- interlaced VC-1 sample now playing at correct speed - only if DxVA is off of course.

That's good news! Big :D! Will the next SAF include MPC-HC 1.5.x?

I run the january 19. build of SAF v5.0

I just noticed the other day that video does not resize even though it is activated in ffdshow. I don't know whether it is a new issue or not.
The OSD displays that input size and output size are the same.

I disable resizing, it was causing AR ratio fail under MediaPortal.

Resize is only enabled if FFDShow subtitle engine is enabled durning SAF setup for good looking subtitles.

Ahh, all right. that explains it.

Any idea whether it will be implemented again in the future? Or does it require a fix for MePo.

Well, there is no reason to have resize enabled if you don't use FFDshow subtitle engine, it only affect subtitle quality.

If you still want resize, enable it in ffdshow - just make sure you enable it in correct profile. Nothing else changed.

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

So resizing to get better picture quality as many guides on the web states have no effect? If that is true then there seems to be a lot of misinformation out there :)

Well, I'll turn resizing off then, and try to fiddle with some of the other settings to improve quality

    Thank you for the answer.
