Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

I sometimes got really bad playback performance (>20% framedrops). Random after reboot. Killing dwm.exe (its CPU util: about1-2%) fixes it instantly. dwm.exe gets automatic restarted, and does not seem to affect it anymore.
(Win7 x64, PDVD10, FFDShow Audio).

I also would like to use 2 profiles for FFDShow Audio (I started a feature request here https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/.../codec-use-ffdshow-profiles-81783/#post614714), since I use 2.0 HDMI Audio for LiveTV, and 5.1 SPDIF Surround for Movies. Update: already doable with FFDshow presets and presets auto loading.

I also wanna thank you for your great work.

Update: I just got bad playback after opening the program guide. Switching to a different channel and back fixed it again. Cannot reproduce that.

That fixed Australia. Playing fine with DXVA now. Now only Avatar is left.

It's played by using Armandp's bluray plugin

Well, just uisng SAF 5 and the bluray plugin. I did add mt2s/mpls in extension in mediaportal. And then just let movingpictures find the files. Remember this is the whole bluray including all files. Maybe that's the difference?

Some good news, hardware acceleration is working now, it seems a ATI driver issue. I rolled back from 10.4 to 9.8 and now it works (i have 6% CPU usage for H264 content)

ps: now i cannot watch FLV4 video from myonlinevideo (sound but black screen) :(

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Hoborg, i have installed latest SAF5.00, and disable MePo subtitle engine and enable FFDshow, with Ctrl+Alt+S i can enable/disable the subtitle, but how can i switch subtitle?
I have tried the letter "S" and "F4", they were the keys in FFDShow, but i can't switch.

I though the audio/substitle switch problem, was solved.

Ok. I wait for next's releases.
Thanks.
I continue to prefer MPC-HC subtitle engine, just need to apply the patch.

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

When updating SAF5 i always have to manually remove/rename the following files in SysWOW64 folder (Win 7 x64):
FLVSplitter.ax
MatroskaSplitter.ax
MpegSplitter.ax
MP4Splitter.ax
RealMediaSplitter.ax
it asks if it should overwrite, but has insufficient permissions for that (well I did not try to run as admin yet).

also the "Enable Subtitles" dialog can be confusing, since it says for MP 1.1 you should select No, and SAF5 is for >1.1 only :)

Seems something was wrong durning SAF uninstall, all this files should be removed after SAF uninstall/restart. Maybe these files are in use?

There is "- you have Media Portal 1.1 (or newer)".
