hi all,
first, thanks for doing the audio video world easiest for us
well i have a small problem after i installed this version of saf
my MP3 audio files and .avi series are played now on DDPII on my amp without my intervention (i mean i start a mp3 audio file and my amp shows DDPLII and not PCM 2 chans as before)
for the series is not a problem but for the music i prefer PCM

my settings are :

saf v5 : optical to the amp (haven't touched or custom settings in it ) and i follow the how to on the first page
mepo last ver (no custom .dll or exotic stuff)
here's a screen shot from graphstudio

note all my others files work good (dts,ac3,dts hd ......)

What FFDshow audio renderer icon say if you hower your mouse over it? It should be MP3 stereo as input, PCM as output. SAF only autoencode (if passthrought is enabled) to AC3 5.1 streams.
MePo have its own system to play MP3, it doesnot use DirectShow (until you enable it).

here's a screen of my ffdshow audio parameters

note ( my amp show pcm 2 chann for two seconds and auto switch to DDPLII after)

I've been trying to configure SAF v5.00 and I haven't had any luck the error I get is attached. I feel like I tried everything to get this file to view through Mediaportal is there something I'm doing wrong? Please help!!

That is what i was speaking about. MePo doesnot use DirectShow (SAF) for MP3 playback, it have its own MP3 player.
You need to enable it in MePo setup - Music - Player settings and use internal dshow player instead of BASS engine.

Does your file play fine if you open it in graphstudio?
If not, send me your SAF LOGs.
You can post MePo logs too, i will look.

Well, that is default SAF setting (disabled passthrought), just disable mixer when FFDShow Audio decoder popup. That is all.

have installed SAF without patththrough - then disabled the mixer but i'm still getting 2 channels for 5.1 material. But will recheck that.

i use the latest SAF5
but also i have a "strange" codec in my MePo-Config-Codec list -
it is in the h.264 codec list and called-

"funbox video codec filter"

do you know where it comes from?
is that from Nero Burning Software?

google wasn't a help to find the answer....
just found something about Samsung Cell-phone-soft
but why a cellphone needs a h264 codec ????? *confused*
