It is not only PDVD decoder, there is better support of FLV, RealMedia, etc...

Is there a prefered Nvidia driver version for SAF 5 like there was for SAF 4?

I'm using a GT220 and want to know if its ok to update to the latest drivers.

    Hi!

I use ffdShow Audio and I wanted to bitstream Dolby Digital only, when it is 5.1 or more. For Dolby Digital 2.0(Stereo) I want the mixer to be enabled to make 5.1 from 2.0. I tried it with a profile and set "Number of channels" as criteria, but that didn't work. I enabled the OSD for "Number of channels" and it is only showing 0 all the time (for 5.1 and 2.0 material). Apparently the value "Input description" can not be taken as profile criteria. Is there any other way to achieve, that 2.0 is run through the mixer while the real multichannel formats are bitstreamed?

    Kind regards,

Maybe I'm mis-understanding what you want, but I think this is what most people want. For me (with the default settings that come up after SAF5 install) the amp. does this for me. I run SPDIF-Optical to the amp.

Stereo (2 channel) is played as NEO:6 (simulated 5.1) or PL-IIx. DD 5.1 and DTS is outputted as 5.1 (or 6.1 ... as in DDex). The only other thing you might want is for 2-channel to output as "All Channel Stereo" ... but again, this is a setting on the amp.

    Hi Tesla,

I know, my Amp also has a function to convert the DD stereo signal to 5.1 (PLIIX), but then I have to use the remote to switch this function on everytime again, when the input signal has changed from 5.1 to 2.0. Apparently, the Amp is not doing this automatically.

So, the better solution for me, would be, that the computer converts from 2.0 to 5.1. The mixer in ffdshow audio is doing this, but I have to disable bitstreaming for this. For all the other formats DD 5.1, TrueHD, I want bitstreaming enabled, so I need a trigger, that enables the right profile in ffdshow audio, depending on the played file.

Funny I mean the avi files for me to jerk since Final and played sometimes a bit slower for a short time. Had until yesterday, one to two versions before the final on it there I do not have noticed.
