Do you have to install SAF unlocked and all should be set right for DXVA on.
For background info: DXVA for use with PDVD-Codec need an entry in the registry. Hoborgs SAF installation do this. For details see after SAF installation here: C:\Program Files (x86)\SAF\PDVD.

I gave it now another try with the HD5450 and SAF6. DXVA works (CPU usage below 20%). However, I encountered the same problem as in the past with stuttering. With more testing I nailed it down (was able to reproduce it):

use case 1:
fresh system reboot
DXVA works
no stuttering in SD, HD, TV-SD, TV-HD
timeshifting via RAM disk
I tried to record TV while watching Full-HD Video - works fine, no stuttering

use case 2:
suspend system (standby)
resume from standby (doesn't matter with or w/o MP on)
stuttering in TV and video (every ca. 40 seconds video stuttering of 2-3 seconds duration)
dropped frames = 0, jitter = 0, frequency according source (as it should be)
DXVA works
outside MP (with another player) no stuttering

Now I know at least that it has something to do with MP-standby-HD5450 graphic card.
With my HD3200 onboard chip it didn't happen.

Do you have a clue what this could be?
(As it doesn't seem SAF6 related, I think I need to open another thread for this)

I have a problem, it is unlocked but it doesn't include PDVD.

I saw the decompresion failed! and try to unlock again. That didn't help either.

Your "604.zip" file is damaged/not fully downloaded.
Delete it an try again.
Or download the file - link in PM i sended to you.

Thanks. But it didn#t change anything. Still the same error.
Eve if I use the saf_key.exe I get the same rror.
Any more ideas?

Try the setting in MeMo to restart MeMo on resume. there are problems with the display driver and resume/standby, mainly with nVidia.

I think not that this will help. He tested resume with and without MP start with the same result.
I can't understand it. On my system works this fine.
bart0190, do you can also test in TvServer Config under General to set a delay time for detecting tvcard.
Otherwise I have no more ideas.

since update to saf600_111108, vc-1 seems not to work anymore.
if i try to play vc-1-testsample i get an error message saying something from: vc-1-codec and wma-pro-audio and nothing goes.

Try to enable WMA and WMA decoders in LAV audio decoder setting - it was disabled due to compatibility problems.
Such sample will be good for testing, so if you can, send me a sample.

Thanks for the hints. I will also do some suspend tests without starting MP at all at the first time. Then I will check what happens when I manually stop and start the video card driver.
