Yes, VC-1 files are played by ffdshow but without dxva.
With Cyberlink (with dxva) playback is much smoother.
In former SAF version cyberlink worked perfectly.
Why will ffdshow now used instead of cyberlink?
Is it possible to force MP to use Cyberlink for VC-1 again?

I also have an ati card which in general works fine.
Today I bought cyberlink media suite in a nice offer with KIS which contains PDVD10 I think I would like to use that codecs for HD playback?
But I haven no clue how to get the enabled?

Anyway I which everyone a very good new years eve and a happy 2012!!!!

Oh thanks, i will try it too, to force mp to use PDVD11 for VC-1. I think also in the feature versions, that he works great with pdvd11 without dose patches.

crashing when playing DTS audio files

Hi there,

i switched from SAF 5 to SAF 6 yesterday. Now i cant play any dts audio files. When i try to start them, either in Media Portal or GraphStudio, the used Program crashes

Here are the Pictures of the created Graph and the Error message:

and here is the file if u need to test it for yourself:

If i disable Bitstreaming for DTS formats Graphstudio plays it fine.
All movies with DTS and/or DTS-HD work fine, even with Bitstreaming.

Any help would be appreciated.

SAF was alwas using FFDshow to play VC-1 files as default, not Cyberlink.

Well! Just thought I'd share an experience with you all...

I've been trolling everywhere to find information about why I couldn't get any MP4 files to play on my Windows XP Media Portal setup

Turns out that the Pure Audio plugin was the culprit for me (seems to take over mp4 files)

Yeah, remove mp4 from the extension list in the Pure Audio plugin is a god idea
