Sorry for bumping this but I just feel certain that somebody has an idea about why my MePo graph fails to connect the audio like MPC-HC.

Hi all,
I have installed in my 2 Htpc (one single seat and one client) the last version of SAF with standard settings.

On both system the volume drop of 50% i.e. if I use VLC and play a media file the sound is ok, if I play it on mediaportal is quieter by 50% than without the sav codecs.

I am using the standard min-jack headphone to grab the audio and send to the amplified speakers on the single seat and the integrated speakers into the client.

The codecs works great for video, I can play everything in my library. But this issue is very annoying.

I have searched the thread and I found similar issue in the past but not a clear solution. I have also checked a FAQ but I have not found it.

May you help me?

the volume depends on the audio decoder you are using.

if you are using ffdshow audio, you can activate the volume filter and setting the amplification you need to get the desired volume.

i'm using this solution and more i setup different profiles for different audio codec that are autoloaded as required.

Let me try to understand more in detail your proposed solution:
Switch from LAV to ffdshow all the audio codecs in mepo configuration and than play with the settings of ffdshow. Or other steps are needed?

i'm using exactly as you wrote, that is IMHO the simplest way to get the volume correct.

you can still use lav audio but you must use ffdshow as postprocessor, setting it up MP to do that. ( i prefer the direct way i've described before)

I do not understand ffdshow is available as a choice only in the video section of mepo configuration not in the TV and DVD sections. The "direct way" you mentioned will solve the problem watching TV and dvd too?

In alternative can you give some more instruction on how set up the ffdshow post-processing? It seems this may solve everything.

is it OK, that codecs installed into user profile.. folder not windows...?
I have windows 2008 R2 (x64) = same win7 x64, and after saf instal, codecs configurations not working, nor codecs themselfs
btw, LAV and ffdshow 32bit codecs downloaded from their homepages installed and working without problems.
