    i'm using exactly as you wrote, that is IMHO the simplest way to get the volume correct.

    you can still use lav audio but you must use ffdshow as post-processor, setting it up MP to do that. ( i prefer the direct way i've described before)

    bye

    I do not understand ffdshow is available as a choice only in the video section of mepo configuration not in the TV and DVD sections. The "direct way" you mentioned will solve the problem watching TV and dvd too?

    In alternative can you give some more instruction on how set up the ffdshow post-processing? It seems this may solve everything.

    God bless you ;)

    i use ffdshow audio for video tv and dvd without problems i've heard about using it as postprocessor from this thread, but to be honest i haven't tried so not sure if it is working .

    How can i install powerdvd-decoder with saf 6 only - without lav audio and all the other decoders?

    i asked because i have problems with ffdshow audio installed with saf 6. i have this problem since i used saf 6 for teh first time. when i disable ac3-/aac-decoding with lav audio, mediaportal is still using lav. when i open the file in graphstudio there is no audio filter.

    when i don't install ffdshow audio with saf 6 and install it in the normal way it works.

    ... mmmm ....Some step is missing ffdshow does not pop up in all the mepo codec configuration tab. And ffdshow seems not installed in the system at all, so I can not create and or edit any audio profile. Did you installed ffdshow on top or prior to install sav?
    Ill try this path later tonight
    Thank you

    @hoborg
    In both my HTBC there is a bug or strong limitation (I do not know how to consider that) in using SAF and the headphone jack as the output signal. In this case the volume is reduced by 50%.
    Are you aware of this and do you know any work-around?
    Thank you

    @mrmojo666
    yes it works, but its not enough to install SAV v6 you have to install ffdshow too. Than you will be able to control volume and profiles as described. Thank you for your help.

    @Taky
    thank you because I gave a try to your suggestion!

    @hoborg
    may you can consider a solution without the need to install another codecs in future release. Thank you, and keep on doing your great job!

    Did you try to play your file in Graphstudio?

    Yes, so here is the result. Unfortunately I do not know what it means that the audio is separated from the beginning in the MePo-graph .. ? Thanks

    Sorry for bumping this but I just feel certain that somebody has an idea about why my MePo graph fails to connect the audio like MPC-HC.

    I now reinstalled the LAVF MePo extension (which includes also the LAV video decoder) and tried choosing LAV audio and LAV video everywhere in the video config. Trying some different files I found that this gave me the same result for Mpg files. Mp4 files however work (But I did not try mp4's prior to installing the LAV extension. Below are the graphs from running Mpg files versus mp4 files. Any new ideas on why mpg audio fails to be run the splitter while mp4 audio does?

    @fnokke:
    Are you sure you didnt enable audio passthrough durning SAF install?
    That will explain why AAC is working.

    The volume is controled by windows mixer, audio decoder have no effect on this.

    I have a problem with stuttering x264 playback with newest SAF 6.x (both on Cyberlink and ffdshow DXVA) with extended desktop configuration.
    System ist core i5 & Nvidia GTX 560 TI - so performance should be OK.

    If only one screen is used, playback seems smoother.
    How can I get smooth playback with 2 screens connected - MP on the extended desktop?
