I tried SAF 6.12 and it looked awesome, but my HT setup needs to switch between audio passthrough (for the projector) and downmixing to stereo (for the tv). I said I had an AV receiver while instaling but then couldn't find any option to downmix to stereo afterwards. Can this be done?

Currently I do this by just selecting the MPC - MPA Decoder which is set to Decode to speakers (stereo) in MediaPortal configuration.

Thanks.

On SAF 6.1.1 and I am unable to get forced subtitles to show up automatically. Any tips would be welcome....the file is an mkv ripped from blu-ray with the forced subtitle flag marked yes.

Here is how to proceed:
In MePo: Choose MPC-HC as subtitle engines and the key point is to choose "Subtitles will be auto loaded by language preference".
Then my "advanced" settings in LAV Splitter are correctly interpreted, for example I use:
fre:fre|f, eng:fre
which means that only french forced subtitles will be auto loaded if audio is french,
and french subtitles will be auto loaded if audio is english.

Thanks for the tip ced007, I'm sure that will save me a lot of messing about :)

Is there any way to set it up so that it will always load english subtitles if the audio language is other than english. For forceds subs, obviously I set eng:eng|f, which will only load subs for any non-english parts if the audio is english but I'm thinking of when the film is completely in non-english, when it would be nice to have the english subs auto-load.

I tried this, but then the entire movie shows subtitles.

What do you mean exactly by "the entire movie shows subtitles"?
What did you put exactly in LAV splitter? Did you correctly choose the "Advanced" option of LAV?
Did you correctly choose "Subtitles will be auto loaded by language preference" in MePo?

Did you tryed default SAF setup (there is an option to show only forced subs) and play your video directly in Graphstudio?
