Yep - This is the one I use to switch devices - but the problem is that it stays with the setup done during install of saf - passthrough or downmix (your setup question Do you have an AV receiver). As I switch between optical and Speakers I would also need to set a fix profile for optical to always use passthrough and speakers always use downmix. But I couldn't find a way to set it up?

You can configure LAVF audio decoder, and export the two registry settings - one for optical and second for passthrough.
Then you need to found a way how to "apply" these registry settings acording to your needs - maybe your remote controler can be maped to do it?
It was already disussed here, so try to do some search :)

    Hi

When viewing x264 coded movies I encounter block artifacts as in attached screenshots. Currently I use saf6.12 unlocked but it started a long time ago (even at the end of saf5 development if I remember correctly) and it appears in more and more movies. If I watch the same movie with e.g. VLC player it plays fine (on another machine).
    What can I do?

    Which codec do you use?
I setup all options as described in the first post of this thread. Except one option (I remember not exactly which one by heart) is different as the proposed one isn't available on my system.
I'll have a look in the setup this evening.

    What GPU do you have?
As a workaround, START - SAF - FFDSHOW - configure FFDSHOW DXVA and here untick h.264 and VC-1 DXVA.

Hm - Don't know if related - but since 6.12 when starting a Video I also see artefacts as described above - also when jumping a few seconds I see tehse blocks - but normally the y went away during playback - I use a Core i3 and a Radeon Card

Does it happend in Graphstudio too?
If yes, can you share small sample so i can reproduce it? I dont have any pixelation issues on my HTPC, but my HTPC is WinXP+nPVR based.
