BTW, if anyone interested to try, here is SAF 6.1.4 WIP build with DVD decoding over LAV Video decoder.
I am just testing it now, so you can too :)
    my curiosity.
the latest LavVideo decoder is v. 0.51.3, but it can't decoding DVD at the moment.
You have compiled a special version of LAV?

i tested LAV build that nev posted on D9, and i have problems with menus - i get black screen instead (nev also mentioned that). So i believe we have to wait a little until nev implements this completely.

ok i see nev posted new build yesterday evening. gonna test it again tonight then and get back with report.

BTW, have anyone tested LAV as TV HD decoder? i have fairly good results with LAV 50.5, bot with 0.51.3+ i get only stutter because LAV video decoder can't be used in graph for whatever reason, and MP takes FFDShow as decoder, what for my underpowered system is no-go. I tried to render HD recordings in GraphStudio with TSReader, and when trying to connect it to LAV video decoder an error message pops out with smth like "can't connect incompatible pins".
Deinstalling LAV 51.3 and installing 50.5 - all is working again. :( If noone else have this problem - then i don't know what to change in settings to get 51.3+ to work with TV HD streams.

I don't use LAV video decoder for LiveTV, only PDVD12 DXVA decoder.
It will be better to report such issue directly to Nev to LAVF thread.

Which version of MP are you using ?

I've seen some reports of this problem with 1.2.3, but none (as far as I know) with 1.3.0, so if you are having the problem with 1.3.0 then can you upload a short (10s - 20s) recording to the team FTP site and I'll have a look at it.

    I use LAV 51.3 for HDTV with no problems (H264, 1920x1080i @ 50 Hz) on nVidia GT430.

    Hi Tony,
i am still on 1.2.3 on my productive system. Does it make sense to check your new DShowHelper for 1.2.3 or is it related to other 1.3 changes?

I'm using lav decoder for HD and SD TV for months now. And it gives me no issues at all. All other codecs I've used gave problems of some kind.

I'm still on SAF 6.11 or 6.12 though. Never bothered to upgrade, because everything works as expected.

Try 'TsReader_noStopMod59c' from https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/experimental-tsreader-development.102693/#post-811296 - this is basically the same as the MP 1.3.0A version, but will work in MP 1.2.3 as well.

LAV video decoder has got more strict about what it will accept as connections, and the older TsReader.ax didn't provide all the necessary information on it's output pin (or it was incorrect info). This got fixed in the dev versions a while ago.
