Yes, unlocked SAF with PDVD video decoder and lav audio.

P.S: I meant PowerDVD as external player, not as decoder in my last sentence in the posting above. The PowerDVD player bitstreams dts-hd high resolution right on my system, while lav/saf6 does not.

Then you should post a small sample or send it directly to nevcairiel (author of LAVF). He have HD reciever, i dont.

BTW, this can be drivers issue as well.

Hello Hoborg, I will test the sample from matpe in the evening. At least with PowerDVD as player dts-hd-hr is working right- with the same drivers. If the sample fails I will contact nevcairiel. Thanks a lot, --Alex

Hi, just tested, that sample works in MP with lav audio bitstreaming to my Denon 1911
Don’t think i have any other dts-hd hra samples, and don’t recall that i have any BDs that have it either.

Here you can find some samples Demo-World

Is bitstreaming of "dts-hd high resolution" working for someone that uses lav audio?? Are there small sample files for testing?

I haven’t played any “dts-hd high resolution” lately, but it worked before, maybe i can test again tomorrow.
Here is a test sample i found Channel_Test_DTS-HD_HRA_7.1

On my Harman Kardon, it didn't work (it was detected as DTS-MA) only PDVD software can decode it and even TMT didn't handle it.

i have already do that and for now no luck for fixing it :(
we try to change different samplerate for Bitstream but it didn't work. Only PDVD handle that so there is something to do (some magic byte) for Harman Kardon series

Same behaviour with Channel_Test_DTS-HD_HRA_7.1 as with Pirates of the Caribbean 4:

    1. Playing the test file after system start -> only picture, receiver does not show an input signal
    2. Shortly playing any track with dts-hd master audio
    3. Playing the dts-hd-hr file again -> now sound is working, but receiver shows it as dts-hd-ma 5.1

Playing the file with PowerDVD player -> sound ok and receiver shows as dts-hd-hr 7.1

So, starting to play a dts-hd-ma file is a kind of workaround, but I noticed that on the left surround and left surround back speaker, there is also the sound of the right surround speaker, while the other channels are right separated. So, not a real solution ...

Sebastii, do you have sound with the hr file too, when you played a dts-hd-ma file before?

matpe, does your receiver show it as dts-hd-hr, or do you have the same as decribed above?

As long, as this format is not working with saf, I have to go back and use PDVD as external player - apparently.
