I just needed to move the Hauppauge tuner card in my Windows 7 computer to another slot and now my interface with Schedules Direct has disappeared. I can't find any way to get it to work. How do I do this?
AFAIK, SchedulesDirect shouldn't have anything to do with the placement of your tuner card, it interfaces with the channels listed in your TV Server to gather EPG. The TV Server determines which channels are free to switch to or record from. Did you try to rescan your channels in TV Config and make sure your channels were assigned properly to the card? When I added and removed HDHR tuners from TV Server, I didn't have to deal with the SchedulesDirect plugin at all.
I didn't think it would either yet it did. I can watch live TV and record TV shows so I know that the tuner card has been properly scanned and configured. Nonetheless, the Schedules Direct problem exists.
Further complicating things is that recorded programs can be played back in Media Portal but cannot be found in the directory I specified for recordings or anywhere else on the computer. This is a problem I posted in another thread.
I found the missing recorded TV shows and corrected the settings so that they now land in the directory that I want. I still need to get Schedules Direct to work and will work on that problem next.
Using some tips I found in other threads I was able to get Schedules Direct to work but it now presents me with a new problem, the channels are listed in no particular order. How can I get it listed in numerical order?
It would be considerably helpful to ppl who might experience the same difficulties in their set-up if you could explain briefly what hints you found helpful, and what steps did the job for you.
The channel scan numbers don't always line up the same as the broadcasters' channel number. You should be able to sort your channels in TV Server config -> TV Channels and they will be sorted this way in the Guide.
I'm downsizing my big honkin' HTPC case to a mini PC, which means the tried and true Hauppauge Colossus card that bridges the set top box into Mediaportal needs replaced with a different solution.

I also have never used a set-top box with MP, but I think that you need to use an IR emitter (aka "IR blaster"). The IRSS software controls the emitter, and transmits IR signals under the direction of MP. The IR signal is received by the IR receiver within the set-top box, and so can be used to change channel and so on. The set-top...

I've setup my HDHomeRun in MP1 as (4) IPTV cards rather than Atsc. I can see the (4) Atsc cards, but just have them disabled. I did it this way so I didn't have to edit the channel names every time tested a new TV-server install. Anyway, it works. I don't know if this would get you past the BDA driver issue. I'll provide more...
