I have not yet - any tips?

    Hey Ixian,
Here is how I set my channels up. Keep in mind that I already had my channels pre-populated in TV server from the schedules direct plugin, so when I went to map the channels it had something to map to.

    1. Download and setup mc2XML
    2. Configure it (I created a bat file with my information to create the tvguide.xml file)
    3. After you configure mc2xml, copy your files to the Program Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\XMLTV folder (this is where the xmltv.dtd file is located on Vista)
    4. Enable XMLTV in TV Server
    5. On the Settngs tab, click browse and browe to your XMLTV folder specified in step 3.
    6. Click the Mappings Tab
    7. Click the Load/Refresh button (This should populate all your channels)
    8. Go through the list and match up any mismatched channels.
    9. Be sure to click SAVE...
    10. Click the Settings Tab
    11. Click Import (If the channels are set up correctly, it should show number of channels imported and total programs imported)

I dont want to become the owner of this, but I rebuilt a new verson of the plugin (from the 1.1 version) with the newest SVN. If someone would like to try it out, let me know if it works with the lastest...

That is great news, thanks for testing! Even though I found a work around in case this project died, I still like the simplicity of using this plugin.

I'm not sure if Patrick had any plans for this project in the future, and I will not stand in the way should he return, but until his return I will continue to keep the builds current.

I'm still getting xml errors in the tv.log.

How did you guys get it to work??? Right now I'm using the mc2xml method. It doesn't bring in as much info as the schedules direct plugin though.

Does anyone here know the appropriate way to import in ClearQAM channels with SchedulesDirect?? I've looked over the local listing for OTA Local Broadcast listings, and I have way more channels that are detected then is in that list. When I scan for ClearQAM I came up with about 70-100 channels. Mostly everything from 2-99 and then some of the HD channels in the 101-125 range. I really can't figure out how to get this all to match up. Just for some info, I'm running an HVR-1600 that is getting both Analog and ClearQAM (dual tuner) from Comcast. Then, I also have a HD-PVR that is getting all the channels from the Comcast STB. I'm having a really hard time trying to figure out how to get everything to match up and only have a single listing in my guide. Any help anyone could shed on this that has a similar setup would be awesome. Thanks guys.

Update: I've been reading SD's forums for the last couple of hours and I found that they don't provide clearQAM information for cable due to the cable companies don't want it generally available. So, how would you get these channels to match up with SD? Do you edit something in the channels information, or would you have to change info in the database? I really hope someone has some experience setting this up as I've deleted my channels 3 times now! ARGH!

I would guess you take the ComCast listing inside SD and select only those channels you get as QAM. Then, inside the TV-Server Config, double click on each channel from its TV Channel tab and edit the frequency you tune to get the ClearQAM channel... essentially causing a remapping of those comcast channels to those you have ClearQAM. (Although it may be the same result to cause the ClearQAM entries to point to the SD/Comcast import, instead -- either way it'd be the same result.) I'd say all editing will take place in TV-Server config and it will update your database. Try one or two channels before you go all out and remember to map those to the 1600 card so they show up in your MP TV-Guide.

I just installed this plugin two days ago, but I dont seem to be having an issue. I have attached my TV log to show my updates this morning. What kind of errors are you receiving?

See my post here for info of how I finally got SD to play nice with with an HD-PVR and a HVR-1600 that was using both clearQAM and analog.
