Schedules Direct US/Canadian/Mexico EPG Plugin (Updated August 2010) (2 Viewers)

When I enable the Sched Direct Plugin, I get the following error:

"the configuration program must be executed from/reside in the mediaportal folder"

I have tried both 1.1 and 1.1a of the plug in. I am runnin MP version 1.0.1 (the latest as of April 27th, 2009).

Any ideas?

Make sure you put it in the tv server plugins folder, not the media portal plugins folder. does that help?

OK, got channels loaded...guid looks good - but, it seems that the tuner on the card is changing channels - I need the card to stay on channel "3", and have the IR blaster change channels on my satellite receiver. I am sure that is possible - I have done it with a different htpc package (gb-pvr) - but this one looks way better, and more powerful, so I wanted to use it...

I didn't see this posted in the last few pages (or just missed it), but after upgrading from MP 1.0 to 1.01 the guide would no longer display. Trying to leave the SD configuration screen in mp tv3 config would result in the error shown in the attached screen shot.

Upgrading to the plugin version from the post below solved the problem:

Just delete the old .dll and copy the new one in. It should keep your configuration.

ok i've had this working a few months ago, i've downloaded the updated plugin, i've followed the instuction except for I don't have any analog channels, I only have salilite. all my channels are in my channel list. I don't know why this won't work please help.

Version 1.0.2 and Schedules Direct

Hello everyone,

I tried updating to the newest version of mediaportal and now I am unable to get the schedule direct plugin to show up after its put in the proper position.

I am NOT using the tv-server 1.0 but the standalone mediaportal. I only need MP in one room (tried using the tv server too but got errors with the other schedule direct plugin.

Anyway, I had it working just fine until I updated and now I am completely stuck without a guide. Has anyone encountered this problem yet? Its quite frustrating.

Any help is much appreciated!

You may want to rethink your strategy. It seems the inbuilt TV-2 is going the way of the Dodo. So the only version of SD supported very well might be for TV-Server, which does not work with TV-2. I have had no issues with SD with 1.0.2 TV-Server and get 14 days of schedule. I recommend it.

The other option is to use the XMLTV solution mentioned elsewhere in this thread, which suits other users' needs.

I am currently trying out SageTV but doubt that I will buy it after 21 day trial. I just needed something until I get MP up and running again

Anyway, I tried multiple times to get the inbuild tv or the tv server install to work with SD to no avail. I got a token error or something when I copied (the correct version for SD TV Server) the DLL to the tv server plugin folder. And then I couldnt get any signal when it ran on auto tune.

I've never installed the tv server version successfully.

Guess Ill continue to tinker with it but doubt I'll figure it out.

I can't say why you aren't getting any channels... are your cards listing in the TV-Server configuration? Analog, or ATSC? What make/model? What COUNTRY are you in? What version of MP had you been using that worked? Does the SchedulesDirect plug-in show up in the TV-Server Configuration under Plug-ins? Did you put the .dll into the TV-Server Plug-in or the MP Plug-in -- the former is the correct one as SD works under TV-Server and passes the program guide over to MP via the database. YES, different than back in the days of the in-built TV application!

Hi, I had it working in version 1.0 with the tv server configuration, I am USA, satellite signal. I can play the channels, just the epg doesn't show up with anything. I configured the schedules direct plug in according the instructions. I put the plug in into the tv-server plug-in folder. Thanks for any help.

Channel numbers and logos

Hi all,

I am using the SD plugin for Tv server and it works great! Very happy with it. However, I do have two questions:

1. How can I get the guide to display both the channel number and the channel name? I'd like to see "360 FNC" rather than just "FNC" in the guide. My channels are sorted properly, just the number is not displayed.

2. How do I get channel logos to display in the guide? I have a collection of channel logos in a folder that are named for the channel name. I checked the box in the SD plugin to get channel logos and out of ~800 channels I only got two logos.
