To show the channel number, enable the option in the client config utility, in the TV section.

For logos, under XP you have to put them here "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\tv\logos". Under Vista it would be under the equivalent user directory path.

Hey guys I'm really stuck I can't get this to work. This is what I'm doing
    1. I have my analog cable coming in from my cable box into my Haugpauge PVR (PC)
    2. I unziped this "SchedulesDirectPluginTVE3-3-22svn" into C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\Plugins
    3. I click TV-Server Configuration and go into there.
    4. I go into TV Servers and see my card name Analog Hauppauge WinTV PVR
    5. I click on that and select my country and hit "Scan for TV Channels"
    6. After the channels have loaded I go into Plugins and click SchedulesDirect EPG Client and enter my user name and password.
    7. Under Advanced Settings I have checked "automatically add new digital cable/sat channels" "Include analog channels" "Force guide update on next TVservice startup" "Sort channels by number" and "add additional ratings"
Can anyone PLEASE tell me what I'm doing wrong. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

IF your cable box is the source of your analog stations, what are you scanning for? Is there an IR blaster changing the cable boxes' channel? How do you have SchedulesDirect setup on their site for your account? Personally I use an antenna so my tuner cards are doing the actual tuning of the stations... how do you have your Analog Hauppauge WinTV PVR setup, connected? Is it RF, S-VHS, or composite?

I have the WinTV PVR150 in my PC hooked up into a PCI slot and I have a coaxial cable coming in from outside my house hooked up to the WinTV card. Thats how I get channels, when I click MYTV on the MP and turn on the TV I can change channels via the PC remote. My schedule direct account is setup to my postal code and I can see all my channels there. I hope I explaned myself ok if not can you please ask me thank you.

GLAD you cleared that up.-- I thought you were connecting the PVR from the RF output of your cable box! Sounds like you have separate feeds (RF splitter) for your TV's cable box and your HTPC... good. I don't know for you Canadian channels, but for my area there are several 'choices' on the Schedules-Direct for me to use for my lineup. I pick Antenna whereas you would pick your cable provider as a basis of creating your lineup. Back to MP... I have the web EPG disabled because I'm using the SD Plug-in. I recall it being in the TV-Server configuration under TV channels ? Where ever it is, disable and tell MP to NOT gather the EPG data... SD functions independently of the web EPG.

One suggestion is to do your # 5 & 6 in reverse order, go into and setup the SD plug-in before you scan your channels.

So can you view your TV channels inside MP? Do they all say no data, or what? Can you preview them inside the TV-Server? What can/can't you do that you're asking about?

Hi Andrew Thanks for your help, Yes all my channels say no data or no information and I don't have a cable box instead the cable is coming from outside whereever my cable provider has it setup and that cable is splited by a coaxial splliter and one wire goes to my TV in the VHF\UHF plug and the other to my HTPC winTV card's coaxial plug.

O-kay.... so, what doesn't work? Just that the TV-guide has no information? Can you actually tune them inside MP? Did you assign the channels to your tuner card inside TV-Server?

OK, so it's safe to ASSUME you can tune all these cable-based analog channels within MediaPortal. That being the case you can't get the Schedules-Direct channels aligned to those in your TV Guide. I don't do analog as the US is going to ATSC (digital) transmission but I would think you may have to name each of your found analog channels (from the scan) to those of SD. There may be a more efficient method which is why I suggested setting up the SD plug-in before your scan -- I believe it attempts to match up/correlate the two but that may be ONLY the case for ATSC... although, how much more do you need than an analog station (RF) number! I mean, if you established your line-up inside SD as cable company X where (say) your NBC affiliate is being tuned on channel 4, then all you nee to do is get the SD ch-4 pointed to your scanned ch-4, right?

    Compiling the Code?

Hi, sorry for this question, but I am trying to compile the code so I can understand what it's doing, but I downloaded the source from v1.1 and I keep getting this error when I compile, can anyone give me a clue?

    here is the error:

Error 15 Cannot implicitly convert type 'System.Collections.Generic.IList<TvDatabase.Channel>' to 'System.Collections.IList'. An explicit conversion exists (are you missing a cast?) C:\Documents and Settings\User\Desktop\SchedulesDirectPluginTVE3-SRC.old\SchedulesDirectPluginTVE3\Plugin\SchedulesDirectPluginTVE3.cs 743 52 SchedulesDirectPluginTVE3

and this is the line of the code that the error is referring to:

    System.Collections.IList pgList = tvLayer.GetPrograms(chan, DateTime.Now.AddDays(-1), DateTime.Now.AddDays(MaxDays));
