    Updated for 1.1 Beta

Attached is a version updated for the 1.1 beta. You should be using this version for the beta, not one of the earlier alpha's I posted or (God forbid) the versions meant for the 1.0.x series which I doubt work at all with the 1.1 branches.

Let me know if there are any issues. It would be really, really helpful if I knew that you had a *working* setup based off 1.0.x before you tried this. That is to say, you were using 1.0.2 or earlier with my previous version of this plugin and everything worked hunky-dory, and only the upgrade messed you up. There are a million things that can go wrong with TVE3 - it's a very complicated open-source app - and this SD plugin is a very, very small part of it. If you don't have a working TVE3 setup this plugin isn't going to be able to help you :)

Thanks, that got rid of the error and I have some guide data but am still missing data for a few channels. Most of the channels are in my scanned list and on the SD.org web site but can not be matched. Playing around just now I found out I can right click on a channel on the "TV CHANNELS" screen and edit the name so that must be the way to make it the same name as on the schedulesdirect site. I don't remember seeing that in the wiki. This is actually the first time I've been able to get OTA listings working which was 3 installations of 1.02 and 2 of 1.1alpha and I always used the correct version of the SD DLL. With all the versions available it's getting hard to know which version to use. I've always been able to watch live TV...just without guide listings.

Once again thanks for such a quick response:D.

Thanks! 1 quick note - the link you made to my 1.1 beta version links to the 1.02 version.

Any chance you could update the subject as well? Looks a little weird saying last update was nearly 2 years ago :)

I've been thinking of redoing this thread, giving all due credit to Patrick, and putting it in the TV Plugins section (where it probably belongs) but this works too :)

I was over on the newcomer forum having difficulty incorporating Schedules Direct data in order to record TV programs for later viewing. I was using version 1.0.2.0 and it was suggested that I use the xmltv plugin. I activated this plugin and had no positive outcome. I then upgraded to the latest Beta version so that I could use the Schedules Direct plugin but I'm still not getting schedules. Obviously I'm either not doing something at all or not doing something right. Would it be possible to walk me through the process step by step. I'd be most appreciative.

I use the 1.0.2 xmltv + SD set up and it works for me.
    I can't comment on the 1.1 Beta.
If you downgrade to the stable release (1.0.2) then I can give you my config steps.

Whether it was with 1.0.2.0 or with 1.1 Beta I've never been able to get the downloaded schedule to appear in the TV Guide. Using either the XmlTv plugin (with 1.0.2.0) or the SchedulesDirect plugin (with 1.1) there appears to have been some step that I was missing. What is the missing piece that makes this work?

    Steven,

Here is what I have to do go from a fresh install to a populated TV Guide.
    1. After installing, drop the DLL in the plugins folder
    2. Put in my username and password on the plugin. I don't change any other settings on the plugin.
    3. Ensure that the names of all the channels as they are listed in TV Channel Configuration match the channel names listed on the Schedules Direct website (G4P. AMCP, KCBWTD, etc......)
    4. Ensure that the corresponding channel names on the SchedulesDIrect website are Selected (highlighted in red, not crossed out) and that my lineup is saved. And that I have working, paid up subscription on SchedulesDirect.
    5. Wait a day. (Or if I'm not lazy, check the "Update on TV service restart" on the plugin, and restart the service, in which case I usually wait 1 hour).

None of this has changed in any of the versions since I've been using Mediaportal. I hope this helps. MP was a huge pain in the butt for me to figure out when I first started using it too, so I never take anything obvious for granted.
