Thank you!! At last I've gotten the schedule imported into MediaPortal. I just made some recordings and will see how they play back on the computer that I have connected to a regular HDTV monitor as well as how they play back through a Western Digital media player that's connected to another HDTV monitor. I still have one question regarding the Schedules Direct plugin. On the advanced tab, there's a setting under Scheduler Options for "Force guide update on next TvService startup". This seems like a good idea so I checked the box next to it however when I next open the plugin the box comes up not checiked. Any idea of how I can get this option to persist or find another way to force the scheduler to update?

:D

I just found a new wrinkle. Although I commanded the Schedules Direct plugin to download seven days of schedule data at a time it seems to have only downloaded two days. What have I missed?

I'm running Windows 7 with MP and the latest SVN and although the plugin loads fine I don't get guide data. I logged and checked my subscription status and channel lineup on SD and all is well. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Test version for Latest SVN

It appears there have been a few changes in the latest svn builds that specifically affect this plugin. I went ahead and corrected what needed correcting then compiled against the latest build I have which is 23729 (note that as of this writing that is a few builds ahead of whatever they've publicly compiled and released in the test svn forum, which may or may not matter).

Attached to this post is the new plugin specifically for post-beta SVN's.

    READ THIS PART:

Don't use this with the 1.1 beta or earlier. For that matter I wouldn't even use it with the svn that was released right after the beta (why would you still be using it?). As far as I can tell whatever "broke" the plugin happened post 23652.

Be prepared for it not to work. I haven't tested it extensively as my Mediaportal test box doesn't have a tuner attached. All I can tell you is it appears to work with the latest svn, on my setup. If you are using Mediaportal SVN's, and SVN versions of plugins like this one, you should be prepared to run in to bugs - that's kind of the point :)

If you do run in to bugs first, please report them, otherwise I can't fix them and this whole process is kind of pointless. When you do report them attach your logs otherwise there is not much I can do. I'm not like a car mechanic who can "listen" to an engine problem and magically guess what it is. I need information, and that's in the logs. If you are running svn builds make SURE you have "debug" enabled for logging in the MePo config and zip/attach those logs to your post, otherwise don't be shocked if I don't reply with an answer to your problems :)

No malice here, just want to make sure we're all on the same page so everyone avoids confusion. Once again, unless you are running the latest svn, do not use the plugin attached to this post.

Is the correct version of the Schedules Direct plugin for MP 1.0.2 really from 2007, or am I missing something?

EDIT: I was looking at the "join date" Looks like it is from 05/2009, much more reasonable

Also, can someone explain (or kindly point me to) the difference between Schedules Direct and the WebEPG thing? I already have a SD account from MythTv, so I'm all for using it. Are there advantages you get over WebEPG?

Wondering if anyone can lend a hand???

I'm trying to get my guide to become populated but can not get it to work. I've followed the directions on post #1 to a T a few times but still nothing. I've read on a couple posts about renaming the channels so they match the names on the SD website. Is this required? Right now when I scan my channels all I get is 2, 3, 4 ...etc. But on the SD listing it lists it as "2 CICA" ect. Should I rename them all to this?

    Thanks for the help!

Thanks x4mer. I just found those instructions after posting but haven't found time to try it yet. Will let you know how it goes.

And yes, I am in southern Ontario as well enjoying these freezing temperatures already!
