I installed 1.3 Alpha and then tried to install SchedulesDirectPlugin-1.2.3.2 I get a Dependency error that says "requires TvServer version 1.2.3
Anyway to get around this if I didn't upgrade from MePo 1.2.3?

I think this is an installer issue. The actual dll files seem to work with 1.3a, but I configured the MPEI installer to be too restrictive, I guess. Let me have a look this evening.

Is there any way to specify when or how frequently EPG data is updated?

I'm trying to integrate the mp-SD plugin, it's TVDB.com series and episode functionality, and TVWishList to record only new episodes of shows, and I need mp-sd to run before TVWL to make sure the series information is available for rules.

No, there isn't a built in way now... the plugin gets triggered by the TV service on the regular EPG update frequency.

The original developer put in a hook to force update when you first start the TV service, but that doesn't help you.

Of course, you could introduce an interface for messaging between the plugins to achieve what you want to maintain decoupled implementations. Or if you don't mind a dependency, you could call directly into the plugin for the update of schedule and tvdb.com info.

I'm also using the PowerScheduler++ plugin on the server; do you think enabling the "reinitialize service on wakeup" option could achieve the same function?

My server is set to sleep after 10 minutes of inactivity, so while wakes may not be scheduled, they would certainly be more frequent.

It's worth a try... the flag is checked when the plugin is initialized, iirc. So, if PowerScheduler++ in fact forces a restart of the plugin, then it could do what you're looking for.
