Hey Geoff, I'm using the SD plugin and it works great. I have one question, I know you are busy and all but is there a way to use the MP 1.3RC genres with this plugin?

I think he means that in the MP 1.3 EPG display, it is possible to show different genres (e.g., sports, news) in different colors. So, does SD plugin provide access to the genre information?

Not a SD user, just an interested party.

already there ....if you go into TV search and View by Genre.

In my area, I get 78 genres listed. You would have to add them, after you decide how to group them, to the genre color config. Not all areas have the same genre designations. They are not automatically added to the genre color list.

I don't use the genre colors, IMHO, it makes the guide much too cluttered and difficult to read. The genre names show up in my skin, in the description area of the Guide and other screens.

I use ArgusTV and Titan skin... I don't see any colouring in the guide....I have the checkbox enabled in settings.

As 2BitSculptor said, I am able to search by Genre that is presumably populated by SD... done well before my time

It could be that this is only available in the regular TV plugin... no biggie.

Have you tried using the "EPG Genre Map" to set this up for the genres from ScheduelsDirect? I have not played with this for mc2xml/xmltv. This is in the wiki for 1.3.x changes

Just wanted to thank everyone. Turns out it was available all along, I just never had it setup correctly. It works great, I agree with 2bit that it gets really busy so I just have Movies and Sports setup. And thanks again Geoff for the plugin I love it.
