That sounds a lot like the error message I was getting, only it was with the OLD plugin on the new svn's.
Mediaportal 1.0 works fine with the OLD plugin at the BEGINNING of this thread.
That same OLD plugin will throw a similar error if you try to use it with one of the svn's.


Either
A. Use the latest SVN of Mediaportal, in which case, the 3/23 plugin should work... or
B. Use the 1.0 version of Mediaportal, and use the original plugin at the beginning of this thread.

I hope this helps. Mediaportal drove me nuts when I first got it, so I can empathize with all the crazy error messages.

Are you POSITIVE you are using either the svn dll I posted or WileECoyte did a few weeks back? Because that is the exact error you get using the original 1.1a with newer builds.

I'm using the build I made and posted here with 1.01 as of today, so it definitely works.

I'm using the MP SVN from 4/2/09 and the last SD plugin posted 3/23/09? and it works great without error. I agree, some version mismatch is happening here. Either use the latest SVN with the latest plugin, or use MP 1.0 with the newest SD posted on the front page.

how do I get the latest svn. What I did was downloaded MP from the main page and the plugin from 3/23. Those are the two I have been trying to use. Is there some where else I can down load. Or are these the weekly builds. And do you have to do a complete re-install when using these builds. Thanks for all the help.

Well, that is your problem. The build on the front page, at least when you downloaded it, was 1.0. The version of the plugin you downloaded from 3/23 was meant for a later svn (version) of Mediaportal.

Fortunately for you 1.01 has been officially released. I highly recommend installing it for a number of reasons, and the plugin version you downloaded will work with it.

I am using the version that ixian released (SchedulesDirectPluginTVE3-3-22svn) after I did a clean install of 1.0.1 of MP. The problem that I'm having now is that the guide only shows the additional information (air date, status as new, etc) for the the 24 hours following guide data loading. On previous builds of Schedules Direct I could resolve this by setting the schedule to 72 hours on the first tab of the configuration. This new version doesn't have that option on the first tab. Any ideas?

All right. Now I have to get a new version of windows. Mine is pre-service pack 2 and 1.01won't install. So I get back as soon as I re-install.

It's probably only SP2 of .NET 2.0 that you need. Either way, just run windows update & you'll get what you need.

Unfortunately the original plugin author, who seems to have left us, did not post the source to his last version which included that option. He only left the source to the one before it. I am maintaining it at the moment but I haven't yet had time to reverse-engineer what he did.
