The problem, I can watch normal SD and I can watch HD tv.
But if I switch from an SD channel to an HD channel the image stops.

I can watch HD but I have to "switch (watch TV)" 2 times to get it working.
Going directly to a HD channel also works but going from an SD channel to an HD channel doesn;t work.

tried several codecs, doesn't make any difference.

I'm watching in VMR9 because in EVR my program guide flickers.

any suggestions?

additonal info:

When I go to a HD channel the image pauses for a few seconds (like maybe 10 to 15) then goes back to the previous SD channel but the image is frozen.

Going in the SD channel again fixes the problem. But I can't go to a HD channel.
The only way to watch a HD channel is to stop watching TV and go directly to an HD channel.

Hi Robbo100,

Sorry but it didn't solve the problem.
Still the same no change.

It seems like this issue has something to do with disoverychannel HD.
Because on National Geographic HD this problem isn't there.

Is there a difference in decoding between Discovery and national geographic?

    Hey Koenjer,
I recently recognized a similar issue: When switching to Servus TV the picture stops, other German HD channels are OK.
Servus TV is in 1080 while the others are 720 as far as I know. Maybe this is the difference between your two channels, too.

    So long,
    Sepp.

I would advice installing the latest SVN. There are numerous fixes for this since the last beta release. I am not sure if it is already 100% working.

    Hi Guys,

I have tried several things, I installed mediaportal1.0 but I have the same issue there.

Right now I have MP 1.1 beta with the lastest SVN running and still the same issue.

It's only discovery HD, and I think sepp is right with his theory about the 1080p.

any other ideas or do I just have to wait untill a new update...?
