[confirm] SD-to-HD zapping with CoreAVC= video hang (1 Viewer)

It happens when hardware deinterlacing option in CoreAvc is selected.

Upd: Without that it hangs more-more later but still there.

Can u check with hardware deinterlacing option enabled?
Too bad because with it i have perfect picture quality

One more thing.

all my HD channels are 720p50 - not 1080i.
so the deinterlacer setting has no effect at all here - since no deinterlacing is done.

I tried to tune to h264 non inerlaced sd channel after mpeg2 or hd and got MP crash (looks like evr crushed)
sound continue but no picture
Dont know its related to that problem or not

could you try what happens with W7 DVD DTV codec for mpeg2 and h.264?

With MS codec all works fine, just not good deinterlacing (picture vibrate).

BTW if no solution for CoreAVC may be you know a way to tune deinterlacing with MS codec.

This is weird - i see best deinterlace results with MS DTV DVD codec - but thats on SD.

I do not have access to interlaced HD content - but with progressive HD channel i see no issues with Coreavc - maybe someone else from the team can test.

sadly there is no config for the MS DTV DVD codec - so nothing to tune.

Hi,

Sorry for the missing information. Stupid newbee mistake.

I have done some more testing now, and the problem is persistant for me whenever I change channel from HD to SD and SD to HD if the codec on the channels is H.264/MPEG4.

I have a lot of MPEG2 channels aswell, I have no problems changing from MPEG2 to MPEG4 channel or the other way. Only when I change between MPEG4 channels, I get the problems: MediaPortal freezes.
If I turn off TV before I change channel, there are no problems.

I have attached log files this time.

EDIT: And specs are added as well.

check posts dates, it was before version 2.0
probably fixed in current version.
