With MS codec all works fine, just not good deinterlacing (picture vibrate).

BTW if no solution for CoreAVC may be you know a way to tune deinterlacing with MS codec.

Vibrating picture on interlaced 1080 is due to ION's lack of Advanced HD deinterlacing, this will happen on any OS and any DXVA compatible codec under ION.

There is no way to tune deinterlacing, you can either turn it on or turn it off. You can try yourself to turn it off and you will notice that picture is not trembling anymore but there is no deinterlacing done.

CoreAVC is the only codec that gives you a smooth deinterlacing but this is due to the fact that CoreAVC is not using DXVA. Deinterlacing is done in hardware BUT HD decoding is done over CUDA.

Not to mention that CoreAVC fails to give 50fps output on interlaced 1080, it will always output 25fps.

check posts dates, it was before version 2.0
    probably fixed in current version.

Yes, it is some months old but nothing indicates that it was fixed EDIT: Well, not explicitly indicating that is was fixed. Latest entry is from December.

    A newer thread:
CoreCodec Community Forum • View topic - Probs with CoreAVC 2.0.0 and DVB

describes another similar problem. Although this may just because the programmer that posts the thread is doing something else wrong.

I am new to MediaPortal, so 'the big codec struggle' is a new sport for me :D . I can not say what has worked in the past, but I have seen a lot of codecs already that does not work.

But: This morning I exchanged "CoreAVC 2.0" with "CyberLink H.264/AVC Decoder (AMT)" and the problem is gone.

I think this codec was installed by the Anysee tuner/viewer software (which has is own share of problems though...).

    Cheers,
    Soeren

    Same problem here!
No probs before with beta and latest SVN. HD is working fine with CoreAVC unless you switch from SD to HD!

Also with 2.0, or with 1.9?

If you use 2.0 - could you test with 1.9 ?

I am using 2.0! 1.9 had some problems with new x.264 parameters.

Enclosed my logs, switching from RTL Television (SD) to ZDF (HD), video stoped playing after ~ 20 secs and audio went on.

    Any news regarding this problem?

I noticed that there are some other threads about problems related to HD TV and RC1 ...
It was running without any problems with previous SVN :(

Everything else seems to be very stable in RC1.

    Thanks for your fantastic work!
