Yeah, it is a little confusing aint it ;) It seems the original coder has gone AWOL, so no more updates, but it seems to work fine for me with the latest stable version of TVServer, though I've found it doesn't work if you install new cards after installing the webinterface. In that case, uninstall everythign and start from scratch.

Here's hoping MediaPortal2 has a built in web interface..... ;)

Has anyone tested the streaming with the newest vlc 1.0.1?
it seems that its streaming because vlc.exe is running and in tvserver the user is connected and its timeshifting but the client only shows"waiting for video". any ideas what could be the problem? should i install an older vlc version?

I get the same problem as well, so it aint just you - but I never bothered to work out what was wrong. Hate the way windows doesn't have a nice logging system like Linux.

    Hi,

I combinated WHS and MP TV server in one system. Both funcionality are perfect and they perfect cooperate together. But... when I installed Web Server Interface and I did complete setup of this, the first of answer which I could to see in the IE was:

    MP Web Server Error 500

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Web Server has encountered the following error:
[AnyDAC][Phys][MySQL][LIBMYSQL] You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1

    Do you have any idea?

    Server:

    Windows Home Server PP2
    Media Portal Server 1.0.1.0
    MySQL Server 5.0
    MySQL Tools for 5.0
    Web Server Interface 0_6_0_13

    Client:

    Windows XP Pro
    Media Portal Client 1.0.1.0
    BkHelper 0_0_0_4
    IE 8

    Thanks,

    Jiri.

    Hi

I've just added a new issue on the google code page about the case sensitive database on Linux problem wich is currently stopping me from using the web interface. Issue is here.

I hope to see you back online here Big_Kev.

    Kind regards
    /Erik

I've stopped using this to try and stream video, it would work only about 10% of the time, so just using it now to schedule recordings. Shame because I would like to stream the tv when I'm away from home.
