I had the same issue and there is a temp workaround. Just rename your multipart movies to moivename-cd1 and moviename-cd2 and then add only the first part to the database. Then MP will automatically pickup the second part when you go to play it.

If you read earlier in this thread, you will see that there are some people who use an Updater (AMCUpdater) that scans the database then folders for new / changed files. If 'movie-cd2' is not added to the database, it will be detected as a new file and added to the database as such.
By the way, I use a workaround for this for anyone interested - it involves using 2 fields in the database for the source files. One will contain all part files with the ';' between as usual. This is the field that AMCUpdater uses. Then a script I developed can be run to duplicate the file entry before the first ';' only to another field. This field is then specified in the config for My Films as the source for launching files. Read about it in this thread.
