[fixed] Serie Plugin : Reimport a share does not update the series (1 Viewer)

Easy to reproduce :​

- Add a share containing a serie​

​

- Add a episode in a a directory of a serie​

​

- Reimport the share : the medias are correctly imported and shown in "Browse media" and "Video", but not in the serie view. I think the new files into a serie share are not compared against TheTVDB database.​

No error in logs.​

I just checked this issue and cannot reproduce it

I did:

1. Create folder, copy one single file into it (Alphas 1x01)
2. Created share as series, import done: 1 Episode shown
3. Used explorer to copy 2nd episode
4. Reimport share, 2 Episodes are shown in "Series" section

What to test else?

I'm just trying to reimport a series share. Prior to that test sometimes it works and sometimes it don't work. Could not find a way to reproduce the working or non- working state up to now. Seems to be random. I'm coming back after the reimport is finished.

The Reimport had just deleted all video files from database. Had to delete and re-add the share. Right atm the importing process is running. I will upload logs as soon as the new import is finished.

Here are some Log files. log.zip are Logfiles from a successful reimport, Log_error.zip are from an reimport which did not work. Unluckily I don't have logs from the reimport that deleted all video files from Database. And I really prefer not to reproduce that

I wanted to upload the log Files, but this did not work. I've packed them as 7z and got an error uploading. So I repacked them as zip, but also got an error. Must see what's causing this... is there something wrong with Forum atm?

Edt. Now upload is working again so here are the files

I also tried to reproduce this issue. I think it was some user problem.

- I created some new series folder
- Imported it
- Added a new file
- Looked in the folder in "Browse media". There it is
- Looked in the series where it isn't but this is like expected because you have to reimport.
- Reimported
- Than it can be found in the series view

Hi.
Tried some more. It looks as if new Series (subfolders) are imported in Server on reimport but did not show up in Client. If you add new files to existing Series (subfolders) they are shown after a reimport.
Will dig deeper tonite.

Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I was easily able to reproduce it again.

Added folder with two episodes and imported them.
stopped server added 2 additional episodes of the same series to the same folder and 2 episodes of another series to another folder, but same share.

All 4 are displayed in media, but not in series.

Used a custom build. Going to test with dev again right now.

BTW: We needs much more [debug] logging within the importer.
No matter how big the log files will be. Or maybe an additional Logger-Instance for the importer, which logs to another file.

Next Test was a failure. I've added some more series to my test enviroment (easy done with hardlinks). And I also add some new episodes to already existing series. Those episodes and series are imported to MP2 Server well as you can see here:

But they are not shown in Series library:

All video files are MKV and has proper Metatags...
