Marc, great help but how do i find siteid's for channels and the cable provider id?

  1. Go to The Internet Movie Database (IMDb)
  2. Find "TV" near the top of the page and click it, then click on "TV Listings" in the drop-down menu.
  3. Find "Enter ZIP Code for Local Listings (Change)" near the top of the page. Click on "Change".
  4. In the "TV Provider:" box, select a local provider and click "go". (Any provider that has your local channels will be fine.)
  5. Now look at the URL in your web browser. Notice that there will be a &tv_prov=XXXXXXX parameter in it. XXXXXXX is your provider.
  6. Now click on a station that you want to include in your EPG.
  7. Now look at the URL in your web browser. It should be of the form:
  8. Now click "Back" in you browser, and repeat steps 6-7 for each channel you want in your EPG.
Hope that helps.

I've attached my modded imdb webepg file, so people can use as an example. I also updated it to include sub titles and properly handle titles.

Greetings marcsulf

I was trying to effect your recommendations above for OTA access but the IMDB page link you included ( www imdb com ) does NOT have a "TV/TV Listings" anywhere to be found. What browser are you using..? can you send a screenshot of where this "TV/TV listings" appear on your screen..? Thanks in advance.

Howdy Zorba :

not sure what I'm missing but your XML attachment produces an error when I click on it and can't download it either... does it need to be renamed as an ".xml.txt" so it doesn't get angry..? :(
