Good idea Crabstick, or perhaps add a button to "Undo last comskip jump and ignore comskip data". That way you won't have to manually rewind to the last false comskip jump.

Yes. Or alternatively the skipping logic could be changed. Currently skipping chapters takes you always to the time after "commercials". It could also take you to the start of commercial break depending where you are on the timeline. Don't know how to explain this better but I hope you get my idea.

I agree that it is a good idea. The way that BeyondTV works is how you have described above and it is pretty nice and makes it easy to navigate the timeline when commercials are marked incorrectly.

Right now in MePo, there is the concept of jump points which are the beginning of the commercials. The points are used for auto-skip, and in my case I am using them to annotate on the timeline where the commercials begin.

I do not think that this functionality would be part of my patch as my patch is specific to just displaying the information on the timeline. However if the MePo devs agree that the logic should be changed, I am happy to create a separate patch for that.

I would see if you can get any traction or feedback in the suggestions forum (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/forums/improvement-suggestions.46/).

OK. I understand this is not directly related to this thread. I posted this to the "Improvements" thread.

I don't use comskip (yet), but the way your describing it here is the way I would expect it to work. Hope you get around to create this patch as well.:)

Tested it with Black Glass HD and Default Wide, but in both cases I don't see any markers appear.
I use For the Record, does that mean other files as well have to be modified? If so, which?

In the .zip File from first post there are (three) files for DefaultWide Skin which you need to replace (see attached screenshot).

I don't know if this works with For the Record tho. You have to test. =)

That's what I did, I replaced those 3 files in the Default Wide folder, but it didn't work.
So I was wondering what the problem could be (besides 4TR).

There are so many XML-files, I don't know where to start looking. So some advice from experienced users where to look is more than welcome :)
