Shrink instead of closing MP (1 Viewer)

Hi and welcome rplohocky 
You can try windowed mode - press alt+enter to jump between full screen and windowed modes. There is an option in the start/resume settings in MP config to allow you to start in windowed mode if you prefer. Another option you might find useful in that same place is the "minimise to tray on GUI exit" option. When you close MP that will keep MP running but minimised to an icon in the system tray. You can start MP again quickly simply by double clicking on the icon.
