the first Beta supported in the Moment only the imported Plugins from MP.

I hope this will become the new default MP skin!!! Although it's already a step forward to finally get rid of MePo, the new 1.2 skin is anything else then pleasant atm. Can't wait to get Avalon - it's for me currently the only reason to not drop MP and switch completely to XBMC+PVR

Hi,

MediaPortal has a new default skin which most people seem to like. Inevitably there will be som, like you, who do not like it. Perhaps you could give us some _constructive_ criticism as to what you do not like (please use the appropriate section of the forum).

However, there are plenty of 3rd party skins that you can use.

Hey Mark,
there are for sure some "nice" ones so far, but none I'd say I'll keep it. I tried quite some, but all had visual drawbacks and didn't look professional and pleasant enough for my taste (I'm not easy to satisfy as it seems ). That said I currently use the default MP skin and use MP only to watch TV (timeshift rules) - anything else is done in XBMC where I like the overall handling of my media better (can configure almost everything from within the GUI).

Sorry for hijaking this thread. As I said - keep up the good work, can't wait to get Avalon - I'd even give MPs media library a try again just for beta testing this skin

You should edit the skins a bit then so that they do fit your taste. I guess no skin will 100% fullfill your needs as long as you don't modify it the way you like.

Fantastic looking skin, can't wait for the release.

One thing, I was wonder if it was possible to have a Sky style epg in that when you press guide, you are presented with a menu showing the following:

1. All Channels
2. Entertainment
3. Movies
4. Sports

With the plugin that DJBlu has developed, he has managed to get it to download the Sky/Freesat epg and put the channels in the correct groups (as they would appear if it was a Sky digibox) so is it possible to create something that could use these groups?? Of course, I don't expect this to be to eveyones taste so the option to turn it on or off would also be needed.

Thoughts??
