I think fonts are rendered separately. The resolution should not interfere with the quality of the fonts. Maybe a different refresh rate will help?

Link is down for the updated core. Can anyone host it for those of us with the last official update? I just started using MP today, and this is by FAR the best skin I've come across. One major annoyance is a red pop-up upon each MP load that states it is out of date and 'don't send a bug report'.

TIA!

    The "red pop-up" should only be shown the first 5 or so times you start up MediaPortal. Then there should be a checkbox for "do not show this" or something.

    That annoyance can be permanantly removed by editing References.xml in the skin folder.
    Look for <version>0.2.3.0</version> and change the version number to the current version of Mediaportal you are using. (marked in red)

    looks something like this in the top of the file:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?>
    <controls>
    <skin>
    <width>1366</width>
    <height>768</height>
    <version>0.2.3.0</version>
    </skin>

    Thanks for the help!

    Just the same, is it possible to get a repost of the updated skin pack, so more plugins display correctly and so on...

    And since we're on the topic of editing files, can you tell me which must be edited so that the weather radar is not Germany or the like, but where I live?

    TIA!

    I dont use weather in Mediaportal, as my place is not supported.
    But from what I remember, you change all the images and stuff from the weather preferences in the settings.. ?

    With a little help of my friends : completing the skin

    Dear Friends of The Core Skin,

    You have all seen the post on the home page of the new project Mediaportal II but ...

    Mediaportal 0.2.3 is just fine for me. So i would like to call all the users (and the Djohansson the author) to work together and make the skin complet with all the functions like in BleuTwo. For example the now playing (songs) screen with the rating of the tracks of the disc. Suggestions within the same categorie. And lots more.

    Anybody want to join me (a skin noobie)? Would be nice to work with some people to get a super result.

    Just reply or pm if u want to join my 1 member team.

    PS A great thanks already to the Author for the best skin around.

    DarkWader is correct, it can be found in MP config, last entry is weather....click on your location then click edit at the bottom. For radar, I'm in the US, so I use wunderground.com for my radar images as it's easy to tailor everything you need with their "save image" option on the radar loops.

    fake9 - MP I will need a full slew of operational skins anyway to carry us until MP II is ready enough for people to even bother skinning for it, so many good skins have gone to the wayside because authors kept getting frustrated and giving up due to the sheer number of tweaks and changes required with making a skin for a project that wasn't complete. Too few stable releases, and far too many 'suggested svn' upgrades left some in the cold for plugins, skins, etc. As it is, I believe we may see the dev cycle jump from .2+ straight to 1.0, something rarely seen but when it takes this many years to get past .2......you can understand their frustration as feature creep killed many skins.
