SimpleMP Beta 4 for MediaPortal 0.2.3.0

The skin is one of MediaPortal fastest skins and can be used on nearly any computer without performance trouble. It have been tested on a 650 Mhz computer with DirectX 9 compatible 64 MB graphics card and was running smoothly.

The skin is, as stated in the name, very easy and logical to use. No functions has however been removed. SimpleMP is designed by Mikael Söderström, Sweden.

General:
* Support for MP 0.2.3.0 and all new features
* Added topbar
* Added readme.txt file and changelog.txt
* Added new hover images
* Added new togglebuttons
* Xml cleanup
* Tweaked the background to better fit the new reflections, also provides better readability
* Added reflection support
* Fixed minor dialog gfx location bugs
* Minor bugfixes (thanks everyone that have reported)
* Added time and date through all screens
* Changed the overall layout, decreased the left menu width, margins etc. to get more space for the main content.
* Bigger fonts for selected item labels, now also left aligned (better readability)
* Fixed rating dialog
* Fixed several sceens where the calibration bar (strip on top of the screen with text on) where displayed incorrect
* New sounds
* Support for non-latin characters/language

Settings:
* Updated all settings screens to match new MP features
* Added gfx to settings screen
* Added animations for enter/exit sub pages

TV:
* Updated layout for TV-guide screen (small fixes)
* Zap-sceen: New gfx and item position fixes (honestly I've just guessed these positions based on a user screenshot)

TV-server:
* Fixed bugs when recording buttons didn't show (thanks Sh4nn0w)

Music:
* Added support for the new filmstrip view
* Tweaked thumbnails view for better looking and performance
* Added support BASS engine
* Added support for Music Menu (thanks Sh4nn0w)
* Added navigation buttons on the Now Playing screen
* Fixed small xml bugs that locked the cursor from move in a specific direction in filmstrip mode
* Fixed some rating bugs in Now Playing screen
* Fixed bug when playlists couldn't be accessed
* Re-skinned the playlist interface

I second that, VERY nice . As a matter of interest, will a 16x9 version be available at anytime in the future?

Maybe, maybe not. Currently I just own a CRT 4:3 TV. This skin was primary made for my personal use and I won't make an 16:9 version as long as I don't have any widescreen monitor.

Hi mikael, let me throw this idea at you... If you were to create a 1280x720 backgound graphic(s) and 1280 wide OSD graphic(s), possibly a few others, anyone could the moify the xml files to make it 16x9 compatible . If it's too much for you to do then don't worry, it's only a suggestion . Keep up the good work.

Yes mikael, please do.. if no one else is willing I will attempt to create the TV screens, though it may take a little while as I haven't any experience in skinning MP yet.

Also on my system I noticed that I can't get into "Now Playing" in My Music with your skin.. is that just me or is this something you know about ?
