Looking great :) :)

Testing now.
Is it possible to de-activate the warning message that shows on start-up?

When watching TV. Is it possible to have more channels and smaller letters on the program info?
Maybe 8 or 10 channels at once

:D

    Hi nanogod,

    • the "°C" overlap the "fair"
    • the "bft" is out of the screen"
    • should be the five weather pic's on this position?

    Thanks Marvman
    1. and 2. Are you running mp on 4:3 (your screens look like this. So this may be the issue. theatre is only usable at 16:9. Sorry.
    3. No, but this is a problem with the weatherplugin itself. Look here: weather error I hope this is getting solved. At the moment there seems to be no possibility too use large weather backdrops and smal icons at the same time.

    Cheers

Sorry for asking, but why don´t you use a 16:9 resolution, when you have a 16:9 TV?
    Your resolution is 4:3

the nativ resolution is 1024x768 but the physical pixels of the panel are rectangular and not squares, but thats no problem other 16:9 skins working fine.

As there are no anamorphic skins for MediaPortal, you should really try running true 16:9 resolutions on your TV to fully enjoy 16:9 skins. If your TV supports it, that is. My plasma TV is connected by DVI->HDMI and running 720P. ALL 16:9 skins look perfect.

Yes you can...in the references.xml...near the top on line 7 it says <version>1.0.2.0</version>, change that to <version>1.0.1.0</version>

It seems like when they release MediaPortal 1.0.2.0 they forgot to change the skin version check to the same version, so if it doesn't see it as one that it recognizes it throws the warning message.

No that would not work. As i wrote, the pixels are rectangular and no squares. When i try to run the 720er resolution, it cuts my screen on top and on the bottom. so all real 16:9 material is showed correctly, no problem, the 4:3 stuff is little bit streched (like the desktop screen)

hmmm...guess that makes things a bit trickier. Are other screens show fine then? I was doing some reading and it sounds like there are a number of displays that have the 1024x768 native resolution. In this forum, sounds like the guy switched to using 1280x768 and it seemed to work. Not sure if it will work or not, but just something to try.

yep, but this should not be the topic of this thread, i really don't have probs with tha ratio i thought it's an skin issue. But i wonder that the used items in the skins are alligned on a pixel basis and not relative (percental). If the skin is finished, i can customize by myself :)

You are right that is not the topic of the thread lol...but yea the items on the skin are placed by pixel. The way the mediaportal skinning works is in the references.xml you set the resolution you are designing for then the label's and image's and what not are placed by pixel in relation to that set resolution so for this one it is 1280x720 and then mediaportal takes that and scales it to whatever your resolution is, so I can see why there would be issues with a 4:3 resolution. I suppose that a 4:3 version of this skin wouldn't help either because then it would all be stretched.
