While testing I found another issue playing music. Would be nice if anyone could confirm so we can get it in mantis.

When playing music (mp3's or such), and inserting a CD into the computer makes strange playlist
To reproduce try something like this:
    1. Go to my music (shares view in my case, dunno if important)
    2. Go to a folder and click an mp3 to start playing
2a. Observe shares list looks like this:

Track 1. Fallulah - Over Bridges
Track 2. Fallulah - Hey you
    Track 3. Fallulah - [...]

    3. Insert CD in cd-drive. (In my case Kim Larsen - Kielgasten). Fallulah is still playing, so expected behavior is fade from Fallulah to Kim Larsen.
    4. Say yes when asked to play.
    5. Observe that CD is populated only by current playing track. This is also played, even when skipping ahead.

Observed playlist (which is also the list of played items):
    1. Fallulah - Over Bridges
    2. Fallulah - Over Bridges
    3. Fallulah - Over Bridges
    4. Fallulah - Over Bridges
    5. Fallulah - Over Bridges
    6. Fallulah - Over Bridges
    7. Fallulah - Over Bridges
    8. Fallulah - Over Bridges
    9. Fallulah - Over Bridges
    10. Fallulah - Hey you
    11. Fallulah - Hey you
    12. Fallulah - Hey you
    13. Fallulah - Hey you
    14. Fallulah - Hey you
    15. Fallulah - Hey you
    16. Fallulah - Hey you
    17. Fallulah - Hey you
    [... keeps on for 18 pages ...]

The loaded CD was Kim Larsen - Kielgasten, so the playlist should have looked like this:
Track 1. Kim Larsen - Intro
Track 2. Kim Larsen - Something
    [...]

I just wanted to ask if someone thinks going from playlist into share and around in share with a collection >600 is slow. Often i wait 20 seconds to to go around in the music part.. Am I the only seeing this?

Before the whole new music system it was "super fast".

Shares view has always been slow but before it would also be very inconsistent (and would often lookup items in the database). Which bit do you find is slow? Opening up the shares folders or folder with files in?

Folder with files in. I have a folder with around 700 files and that takes quite amount of time to open. Shouldn't it be faster as you just look up items in the database?

It will speed up massively if you put the files into separate folders or use database views (which are massively quicker ;)

Shares view does not read the database anymore as the data in there may not relate to the share contents. Now it reads tags from the files as you open the folder (hence why it takes a while is 700 files are all in the same folder)

Depends what you mean by default view. MP should always use the last view you were using. In svn/beta you can also open up music in a specific view by passing a parameter. http://mantis.team-mediaportal.com/view.php?id=3170

Or did you mean something else?

Exactly what i'm looking for. So just use these codes: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...6-start-music-parameter-music_start_views.jpg to enter view?
