I'm not sure mine is working- can I clarify that the above is correct and I only need to select the EPG Background Audio in Radio EPG Grabber > Grab EPG for channels and that will give me all TV and Radio EPG? I think I might have mucked it up as I forgot that last night I had selected all the channels that I wanted EPG data for in TV- EPG grabber > Grab EPG for channels- is that not the correct thing to do?yeah mate... in the tvserver config, go to radio channels, and radio epg grabber... select the EPG Background Audio entry, and English as your language...
Then start up mediaportal and go get a coffee... let it do its thing and it will pull in the epg data for you

jo16v - I didnt select anything for EPG in the TV channels section, just in the radio section, I selected EPG Background Audio and also English... then I made sure that grab epg while idle was selected, and try to fill gaps, and update info... then I restarted tv server (I always do from habit after changing anything) and left it to it.
I now have a weeks epg working for all channels (I just had to be patient).
If you want to see if its working, look in your logs folder (c:\application data\team-mediaportal\tv server\logs) and open the epg log file... you will see a lot in there about channels found, programs loaded etc... when it is done it says so at the bottom too...
If you are watching tv it wont update, so just leave it to do its thing and you will get there soon enough.

just messing to see if allow epg grab while time shifting works as I still have gaps with BBC2 and BBC HD (That I know of anyway) but brilliant so far Thanks
I will be integrating a Method to grab EPG whilst Timeshifting as the data is broadcast each evening on all transponders. You will have to ensure u select every channel though in your epg grabber.
Oh and for the extra spaces in a few titles that will be fixed this evening.
Hey thanks bob! Will have to go and unselect all those TV channels.. Are you certain you need to select "always try to update" (with CPU usage warning)- presumably this is not necessary if it is updated fully on schedule?
Yep XMLTV is enabled, however, I re-scanned my channels earlier and forgot to reselect EPG Background Audio in the radio EPG grabber, have now selected this along with English, went into manual control and refreshed the DVB EPG and now, things have gone from bad to worse, I've completly lost all entries in the EPG.

Just to Clarify when you say select ONLY "EPG Background Audio" dont worry about selecting English under the language box?
Also after clicking Reset DVB the state shows Grabbing EPG should I wait for the state to change to something else before exiting out of TV server.
