I think the Brit Shorts is in the TV EPG and you only need to select that if you want EPG data for a channel that is on Freesat but not on Sky? I actually can't think of any channel like that except ITVHD and I don't think the EPG data is transmitted in advance? It all worked for me just selecting EPG Background data channel in the Radio EPG.

not on this attempt as when I checked brit shorts aswell before I had the same channels with titles only and no descriptions and I assumed it was not getting to the sky data.
Had a look at the logs and it looks like the data was input into the database. In your Channel list are there more than 2 of these channels in your Channel List?

This TSWriter will only update channels on DVB-S, you will have to grab the EPG for the DVB-T channels another way, I haven't looked at the EPG for DVB-T but I'm sure you can get 7 days worth with this TSWriter.

i think i must be doing something wrong, my guide isn't updating. I moved in the tswriter, did a scan, then selected only britshorts in the epg grabber and refreshed it but no luck. Should I also select the channels I want grabbed in the epg grabber or do I only need to select brit shorts?

no i don't know why it snot working, had to concede defeat and attach my logs.
