I'm trying this patch with windows 7. With my surprise I can only get the guide of the channels on the same transponder of alice (sky italia) with it.

    I'm posting logs...

    Hope someone can help...

My suspect is that I'm not using the patched version, but I'm sure I've copied it to the right place (made it hundred of times under xp).

    Thanks

The log files show that the wrong TSWriter is being used.

Search your system for TSWriter.ax and replace it with the patched version.

THis is strange since I've now looked everywhere and your version is the only on present and registered on my system. Is it possible that windows 7 makes some kind of caching or saves dlls/filters for security preventing your filter to be loaded?

    I've no other ideas.

I've solved doing a rescan of the transponder of alice... so the right version was used but there was some problem with the db.

    Thanks anyway

It can only be vertical or horizontal, so you could guess, but better to look somewhere like KingOfSat (as linked to a couple of posts above) - that will give you all the necessary settings.

Ok so it's either horizontal or vertical - I've tried to get CBBC setup unsuccessfully (it may be a reception issue but other BBC channels are ok) & I cannot see from KingOfSat what the settings should be - I've got the following can someone tell me if I've got it right or is something fundamentally wrong with what I have entered. Oh I've just had another thought, I know that Cbeebies tends to provide a holding page or goto another channel when it's not broadcasting on freeview, is it possible my problem is that there is no broadcast on cbbc when I am attempting as that is usually in the evening?

    Many thanks

You have answered your own question there. CBBC doesn't have a holding page on Satellite.

Try doing a scan in the morning and at night.

This is what I have to do with mine to get all the channels on 28.2e

Now I've got my head around the king of sat information (bit of a slow learner me) it is brilliant - I've been able to confirm just about every channel.

Last thought though - I am assuming the the nine BBCi channels are attached to the "red" button in the real world? Is there any logic to them / do they have any EPG data ever?

Not sure about sat, but they do have epg on dvb-t, so I would assume the same, hopefully someone will confirm.

No EPG data on satellite unfortunately- stream 6 is the index page for sport, stream 0-5 are sport, music or extra content for different progs. T7 STRM-0 is News multiscreen, T7 STRM-1 is multiscreen for CBBC/CBeebies.

    Hi DJBlu,

Some time ago you were talking about having a console application you could run to give the Sky channel lists to Media Portal rather than doing a complete scan. Did anything ever come of this? It would be incredibly handy to have having proper LCN and channel orders etc. :D

    Hi guys,

I've followed the instructions in this thread, and while I can grab all the channel and prog info quite nicely now from the satellite, I still have a completely un-ordered list of channels (the same as when I do an initial scan). Do I still have to order all the channels by hand (yawn....) or am I missing part of the process (or need to do something completely different)?

    Thanks for any help.
