I don't have time at the moment. I have looked at the SVN and there is nothing stopping the TSWriter working with the Alpha release.

I will be releasing the patches required to allow the devs to implement this into Mediaportal as I no longer have time to keep updating the files.

I have submitted one for Freesat I will send the Sky EPG later next month.

    pmtpid / tuning changes

I know there's been some discussions on here before about channels on satellite changing their tuning info being responsible for "failure to tune to channel".After a weeks holiday, I noticed I couldn't get BBC2 any more. After checking my MP logs (timed out waiting for pmt), then kingofsat, sure enough, the PmtPid I had set was incorrect, after correcting, it fixed it. I can't find any definate evidence on the net that it changed (possible I don't know how to interpret all the info on kingofsat), howeer I am sure that it worked before.

Question - sky/freesat boxes and the like cope with this kind of thing automatically I assume. How feasible is it for MP to do so automatically (not requiring a manual tuning check or a rescan-all-channels), possibly via this epg-grabber enhancement?

    There is a way,

I spoke to DMAN about it months ago. If the channels PMT pid isn't found then a quick look up on the PAT is required to get the new PMT pid. This will only happen once for each change. You could have the option to turn this feature off if you wish. If the PAT doesn't have the SID you are looking for then the channel has moved so a rescan is required.

If this is implemented then it will make life easier for UK users.

If I get time I can take a look into it.

It would be amazing if you could.

    Quick update.

I have now got the SDT Scanner to pick up all 660 channels in under 5 seconds, all from 1 transponder.

Now the dificult part. PAT lookup.

This is possible, just going to take me a little longer than anticipated.

I will attempt, I say attempt to implement All Channels,Entertainment, etc ....

This will take time but I am getting there.
