Don't know whether this is bug due to TSwriter or not but since installing the latest update I have lost acces to manual control in the tvserver config.
Has anyboby else had this problem.

    Hi there,

Ignore my post - I just saw your edited comments about deleting channels and rescanning :D

    Me again :)

I must be having one of my "dumb" moments.

I have installed your latest tswriter, deleted all my channels, performed a scan.

It has found 800 channels (or there abouts) - but when I check the Sky type channels, their channel numbers are wrong?

I have correctly uncommented the region file to specify my region (Midlands)

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    J.

Are you deselecting the select channel by index(non US)?

What versions of media portal is this working in at the moment. 1.02 / 1.10 beta / SVN builds or all of them?

I'm still using 1.0.2 for comparability with the old tswriter.

Is everything ok with this TSWriter with you guys?

Looking for a little feedback before I try to move onto the full search from 1 transponder.

I have tested it with 5 regions and the Numbering scheme is working for me.

Would like to know if you guys are running into any trouble.

Jay_UK did you solve your problem? If so how?

    DJBlu,

Im not sure if ive found a problem with the latest version you posted....

I had it running for 2 days and it seemed to keep crashing the tvservice every time the EPG was refreshed (the service completely froze and became unresponsive, had to manually kill the process).

Ive put the old tswriter.ax back and it seems ok again now.

When the EPG was refreshed with the new version, the memory usage of tvservice grows to around 650MB and then it seems to freeze.

With the old version (that works ok), the memory usage grows at a similar rate, but only gets to around 550MB. The EPG grabbing ends and shortly after the memory is released and drops to around 100MB.

Sorry I know this is a bit vague - I will try and test more tonight and get some logs.

I have also noticed the occasional title entry in the EPG that seems corrupted somehow. Ive noticed it on Sky Sports HD1 & 2 a few times. The program after the Arsenal/Liverpool game last night was just a jumble of characters eg "AGjhiog8" - i will try and find another corrupted entry tonight. It could be one particular character or phrase that isnt right in the Huffman table.

Thanks for all your hard work on this, its much appreciated
