Silly question alert....but with that method above to scan all channels from the one transponder, should I also get EPG?

It does find all the channels but no EPG is populated. Do I need to set the channels to grab epg or some other manual steps after finding channels?

Also, I have renamed the groups_uk.dict to groups.dict but they dont show. I created some test groups and they werent added into this groups.dict file so I assume (maybe from rc1?) its looking at some other file?

Amazing work all the same, great utility!!

EDIT - EPG is sorted, restarted TV service. No groups tho still?

Before you do the scan of the single transponder you need the Group by Provider checkbox ticked. The provider field is populated with the BSkyB group names as part of the scan. The BSkyB groups should then be created from the provider name as part of the scan process. You will have to add a few channels into groups as certain ones such as BBC and ITV regions may be allocated BSkyB as the provider and therefore the channel group.

I have noticed that the single transponder scan doesn't pick up the BBC and ITV Streams used for multiscreen but I guess this is because they would not be visible on a Sky set top box except via the red button.

I would reccomened scanning DVB-t first then installing DJBlu's nw files and then scanning DVB-S as I usually have problems scanning DVB-T on DJBlu's tswriter.ax file.

    Hi there,

    In regards to ITV1 HD....

I have manually performed a single transponder scan and found the channel. :D

I have edited the name and the channel number (set it to ITV1 HD on channel number 169). :O

But I am not getting any EPG data for it. :(

I have both the EPG channels selected (sky and freesat).

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks,

    J.

Don't make the same mistake I did, when scanning for DVB-T channels.. Goto the sky.cfg file and edit it and set
    SkyQuickScan=0

You might have to stop the TVService in the Manual Control page, edit the file/save and Restart the TVService from the Manual Control page again. Then I would delete all your DVB-T channels in the TV Channels page and rescan for them.

The ITV HD EPG is only available on the freesat EPG channel "freesat info" in the radio epg grabber tab.

Possibly just give it time to populate, or possibly you interrupted the EPG grabber by tuning another channel etc. So just go back the Radio epg and unselect and reselect the freesat info channel. Usually I like to goto the "Manual Control" page then to see if it's grabbing the EPG data. It normally appears within 30 seconds.

    Lastly..
I'm not sure if this was the case all along, but since DJBlu's "SkyQuickScan=1" addition, I can select a single channel on the DVB-T list in the EPG grabber and it will grab all the Terrestrial channels EPG. Rather than having to select them all, so that's great :).

Also... I noticed a side effect of scanning for the DVB-T channel's with SkyQuickScan=1 (which I don't recommend btw).. I was able to pick up the FreeviewHD channels BBC HD and ITV HD. Although they obviously don't work because I don't have a DVB-T2 card :).

DJBlu, morpheus_xx has fixed an issue with the TechnoTrend CI module, which has resulted in an updated tvlibrary.dll, see here. Would you be so kind and publish the freesat epg grabber package based on this new dll? Thanks in advance!
