yes I always uninstalled with the third option (full cleanup) as I think it ensures that all shared librarys/filters are unregistered/uninstalled properly, all registry keys removed etc. There could just be something simple lurking after uninstall that is stopping it working.
This does delete your database though, so you will lose all your EPG data, scheduled recordings, channels etc.
check that the system isnt low on disk space as well (as in less than 4-5gb free). I had a problem a while back where the tv service wouldnt start when the disk was low.
Its probably unlikely, but it could be something more discrete like the dlls have the wrong permissions after youve copied them.
You could also try just copying the tswriter.ax on its own without the others, and see if it will start with that
TVLibrary.dll and TVLibrary.Interfaces.dll must be copied too as the TSWriter depends on the modifications in the two files. Your TV Server will crash without them.
