I thought that this was now implemented in to the SVN's? Installed the last RC3 SVN last week and during the week my EPG slowly lost channel info, I replaced tswriter with your modded one and all back to normal now.

I will be updating the SVN from this Friday as I am on holidays and the PC with the source is at work,

So Saturday morning I will have a new TS Writer that will work with ITV HD.

There will be no new SVN this friday I think because RC4 is going to be released, so I hope you're going to compile it for RC4.

Hi DJBLU,

Now that Five is available FTA, shouldn't we have listings for it. I have it on the EPG and can watch the channel but have no idea what is on as there is no listings for it. I have also noticed that this is the same with Scuzz+1.

Please advise.

Edit: Ok, worked it out. It seems that BritShorts had come unticked for grabbing the epg data so I now have listings on Five but Scuzz+1 still has no data.

Here you go, I couldn't be bothered waiting till Saturday.

Place all 3 files in your TV Server directory.

ITV HD will work with this version.

This version removes the double spaces in the EPG.

todo: Categories. Not difficult so shouldn't be more than a few days/weeks away. Then I might ... that is might take a look into the series link data(if I can find it)

Thanks DJBLU, the series link info would be brilliant. Its so annoying having to setup every single recording when something is shown week after week at the same time on the same channel (holby city for instance or eastenders) so this would be a great advantage if you can get it to work. Following on with your "categories" thinking I was wondering, do you think this would be possible. When you hit the guide button, instead of seeing the epg, you see another menu that is setup similar to the sky categories ie, music, film etc and then when you select the option you want, you only see the guide data for the channels defined in that categorie. IS this possible or are we getting ahead of ourselves here??

Good work - Let's hope after 1.0 release the devs start incorporating the work into the main code, but until then if you keep supplying the files I think most who need it will find it in here.

This is a feature I asked for nearly a year ago. To show the groups first in the EPG instead of having to press 2 buttons to get to it.

I believe that there will be a feature in MediaPortal 2 to have custom menus so maybe then.

I can take a look into hacking the EPG part of the menu code and maybe do a dirty hack.

I have just got round to installing and testing this and have to say this is a great addition to MP, full EPG for all my sky channels (bar one).

Just to check if I have set it up correctly, I get most of my sky channels via a feed for a sky STB, to get the EPG to load I had to do a full scan of one of my Sky cards, mark the channels as EPG only and combine them with STB channels to get the data to load, works fine just takes about 2hrs of manual work to setup initially - is this the correct way or is there a shortcut?

Also the Sky channels come from EPG Background does not have ITV HD, that being on Britshorts...I was just try to see if I could get data from both but TVServer had a fit and decided it needed to create by DB and wiped out everything...guess who had not backed up todays work yet....

Going to be a while before I get back to where I was but the question is can I tick both the EPG Back.. for Sky and Brit... for Freesay (and ITV HD) or will, as seemed to happen only the data from the last grab is kept, program data seemed to be deleted at every run, in my case wiping out the sky data and leaving me data for ITV HD only!

Sorry that you lost your data,

You aren't using XMLTV are you?

I haven't personally tested the EPG Only however when both are ticked the EPG does update all the channels on 28.2e

When you select EPG Back.. and Brit Shorts go into Manual and click refresh EPG Data. This will do the full grab, after this is done it should update without deleting all records. You will only need to do this the once.
