Any idea whats wrong or can somone post the info so I can manually add the channel?

Brit Shorts is the French version of the channel on the Sky EPG- it has no english subtitles (although it shows some english language stuff with french subs). You can see the tuning details under 11426 here. You can get a small summary of what is on in the evenings here (this week not yet up).

If I have DVB-T and DVB-S do I just select all the DVB-T channels in the EPG select and the Brit Shorts channel on the DVB-S? There's a few chan's that are on DVB-T that are not on DVB-S.

I've got MP 1.0.2 installed and have just configured for EPG as per your guide - however, I small problem, I cannot find a refresh EPG button anywhere - I think I've been through every screen - I must be blind or something, can someone tell me where it is please!

It should be under Manual Control.

That probably explains my problem - I hadn't noticed before but whenever I goto manual control the title changes to manual control but nothing else does - I just get to see whatever page I was on, Manual Control does not appear to have its own page.

Appears I'm not the only one with this problem - going for a reinstall.

I had the exact same problem with my MP 1.02 install. After a while, the TV Groups menu option and the Manual Control menu option just stopped working.

Looks like on other threads this was originally thought to be a feature, but I think the devs were getting confused and then realised it was a bug. The only way I could fix it was to do a complete wipe and reinstall of MP, which itself did not go well as there then appeared to be some Database accese error bugs that the uninstaller/installer could not handle so I had to sort it out manually...

Anyway, I have tried to manually add Brit Shorts as a channel and I still dont get any EPG listings, there is something odd with my DVB-S set up though, as it never seems to find Channel 4, but can find Channel 4+1, this is why Brit Shorts never turns up either I guess....

I tried the reinstall - have posted to the thread which appears to be about the manual control bug, the manual control page does function perfectly unless there are some channels to look at. Seems to have scuppered my progress at present!

Despite following the info given in the link, I still can't get the channel to work, I don't think I am correctly copying all the information needed. I would be really gratefull if someone could post a screenshot of their settings for Brit TV. In TV Server Configuration, choose TV Channels, click on Brit Shorts TV, click Edit and then choose the DVB-S tab.

I have included my screenshot of the settings, but something is clearly wrong coz it doesn't work as it aint grabbing any EPG data

Try changing the symbol rate to 27500, inner FEC Rate to 2/3 and add "Arquiva" to the Provider.

So, now I know what those numbers in bold from that linked webpage are for

Lets see if I can add Channel 4 to the list manually now ;0)
