I think the rules regarding MDAPI are a bit more relaxed these days. As long as you have your own subscription and you're not involved in anything illegal like card sharing then I don't think we mind too much
Sorry to contradict but the rules do still apply. I'm sure you know all the reasons that the rules were put in place. Unless the team agrees to change the policy I respectfully request that you continue to follow the guidelines. If you think the team should change the policy then I have no problem with you raising that suggestion.
Sorry to clarify what I meant was you don't need to * out MDAPI. There's no problem with mentioning that you use it, but we don't want detailed posts on how to set things up.
It appears I had the issue with the lack of free cards again (well my other half did - I was at work!)
I believe the issue happened around 13:50 today (8th Aug). From what she remembers, she woke the HTPC (single seat) from sleep, watched a TV series for 40 minutes, then tried to watch TV - at which point she got the error. She then rebooted it and it worked fine. The exact time might be off a little
I'd suggest looking in the TV.bak file... I crudely zip all the files in the log folder
So it looks like what happened is that TV Server chose a tuner to use to tune a channel. It could see that tuner was being used to grab EPG, so it stopped the EPG grabbing and proceeded to tune with it. Half way through tuning, we suddenly see that the EPG grabber comes back and says "I've got data, do you want it!". This is strange considering that EPG grabbing should have been aborted. The EPG grabber stuffs up the tuning process because it frees the "subchannel" that is being used for the tuning process.
@miroslav22: I'm not sure if this issue is specific to your branch of the code, but I've never seen this happen in other logs. Potential bug?
In any case, this does not appear to be related to the problem that was previously seen...
Thanks for looking into this... So maybe I have two issues....or two one-off issues that might not happen again.... I will keep a close eye on things a little further...
Miroslav...it would be good if you give your code a quick once over?
I've finally got the whole EPG thing working with SKY NZ by changing the details of the EPG. It is now pulling the full sky EPG including the HD chanenls (not just now/next!) The issue I now have is that all the channels have a preceeding [[00]] or similar in front of them... see attached pic!
What is causing this? I'm really happy to not have to combine channels to get the full EPG, but no doubt this will confuse the partner!
That's the strange thing, as far as I can tell using EPGCollector with OpenTV or EIT I do not see these preceeding characters... which is why it confuses me!
