That's the strange thing, as far as I can tell using EPGCollector with OpenTV or EIT I do not see these preceeding characters... which is why it confuses me!

This is because EPGCollector parses this data out.

Ah hah! So Mr DJ, what is the best method for me to remove these characters?

I was wondering whether you would be able to expand the reminder function to match the sky equivalent, i.e. series link reminder as well as record? It is a feature that is missing in my opinion from MP in general and it makes sense to add it to your sky branch as when I was in the UK the sky boxes could series link remind and record.

@ Miroslav, sorry to bug.... but have you been able to look into my lack of free card issue? It appears (Other half has just mentioned it!) that its happened several times this week - A reboot has solved it each time

J. This is an issue with 1.3.0 Alpha and will be sorted by the team. I think you might need to wait for the beta version as it's quite a large issue.

@DJBlu: did you check the analysis here?

@Jay_UK: can you post fresh logs if this is still happening. As previously mentioned, you may have one issue with the tuner/TsWriter and one with the EPG grabber not aborting properly and interrupting tuning. I'm keen to see the additional info in the logs for the tuner/TsWriter issue.

I see what you mean as the callback isn't removed when the EPG grab is aborted.
This is becoming a right royal pain in the ass.

Yes, agreed. The EPG system is soooo far overdue for an overhaul. I'd like to have a chat with yourself and miroslav22 about how we should do this, including your plans for integrating (or not) your work.
