I've said before and I'll say again, good things come to those who wait.
I am polishing off the code now. I have got the scanner and epg updater to give all channels and epg in 2min 20 seconds. This can be reduced but takes up 100% of 1 core. With the CPU anti hog it takes 2 mins and 20secs on a 3.2 mhz machine.
Once this is complete I will move onto EIT and other epg systems. Once these are implemented I can look at MHEG5 as most of the source code around the internet is in .net so implementing is a little easier with my plugin.
p.s. I have found out how sky replace the SD channel numbers with HD ones also so this will be an option when I release the plugin.
Ok thanks for all your hard work on this, I have discovred that by ticking bbc2 in the epg grabber I am getting about 80% of the epg populated so not such a hard wait now.

Are you grabbing freesat only?
Thanks for all your hardwork.. can not wait for this. but my media center can not take 600 sat channels so time to update it.. I using wmc7 to shut the wife up but thats not any good as it dont pick all the freesat channels up. Using xbmc and wmc7 till I get new media center parts off ebuyer..
One feature of this plugin also is it will hide the channels that shouldn't be in the Guide. i.e. based on your area.
They are still added but aren't added to the Groups. They are left in the "All Channels" group.

Hi - I'd like to try this sky UK epg enhancement as I have trouble getting xmltv to work. I have a Thompson Sky HD+ connected to my pc via composite leads and a Haup WINTV 150 mce card. Will this utility work with this combination?
I have downloaded and installed the svn version of 1.1.2.27219 from your link and updated my MP install. However, in the guide in the first post here it shows two dialogues which are not the same in my install:
a) In TV Server Config under DVB your picture shows a third entry for "Provider Epgs - nothing like this in my copy (only 2 entries)
b) In MP Config under TV your second picture shows a bunch of stuff about "Recording" but nothing like that in my copy.
Have I got the right MP version?
Also I can´t find any guide to installing and setting up your enhancement - apart from the first post here. Is there anything else I could read?
