This had me excited until I noticed no AIW Radeon support. ARRGGHH!! I could have sworn that MP handled it back in its SW encoding days... I was so proud of this card a few years ago when I got it. :(

have u tried the tv capture part lately? most sw cards work now

try deleting the entry in "Capture Cards" and then add it again

ServicePack2 casued some problems recently...but now they are fixed...try updating with SP2 and update your video and WMD drivers for your AIW card...

let us know how it goes

Here is my capture log when I try to record. When I click Record (not in full-screen), the TV view area goes blank with the sound continuing. The channel logo appears in the the lower left corner of the screen and it indicates that it's recording. After a litle bit I click to stop the recording and the recording acts like it's stopping, but the files size is zero and the TV area doesn't resume viewing. To resume watching TV I need to click the TV button off then on again. It's been a ltitle frustrating! Maybe it's a codec choice I made. I don't know. Any suggestions?

I get the same thing happening for me and my 9600 AIW card. I have tried it with intervideo and ATI codecs but neither work.

Just found a post that suggests that the recording path needs to be the C drive (I currently have mine set off to a different partition). I'm at work just now but will try this later.

I got TV recording working!! I installed the XVid codec. I'm using that for video and the built-in MP3 for audio. No ATI-specific codecs. The quality is crap on my 1GHz machine though. :( When I use the ATI MM Center's MPEG-1/2 capture function the quality is crystal clear, but MPEG-4-based real-time encoding on that machine isn't as nice.

I'm still having an issue though. When I hit Record, the TV viewing window still goes black (sound keeps playing) and when I hit Stop Record the TV doesn't turn back on. If I manually click to turn it on again it works fine but what gives?

I do like having recording working now though! 0.0.0.9 is much nicer in a number of ways. Great work so far!

I own an AverTV 98 sw card, and DScaler supports it perfectly! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE integrate DScaler into MP! I signed up for these forums JUST to tell you this!

If you'd do that, MP would seriously hurt the competition. Open source baby!

PS: I'm actually quite mature. I'm just a kid at heart.

I saw in the list the following

    MSI TV@nywhere
This Card Will Not Work With DScaler, Although Support Is Planned (CX2388x)

Does anybody know if it will work now? I am still not able to make my card work.
